This is a nice, medium sized botanical garden (compared to other large cities). There is a large variety of plants, well identified. We walked from the Hilton - not too far, but you do have to cross a busy street, no traffic lights. The park is free, by the way. We happened on the anthurium lily greenhouse while some supervisors were in there and, while it's normally locked, we were invited in to spend as much time as we wanted. What a treat! The same gentleman also invited us in a section that is in development as an education area, so we got to see a lot more than we expected. We appreciate that he was so cordial. All in all, a really nice outing and walk.

Very close to Queen's Savannah Park. It is located in the north side of Savannah and it is the northern limit of Port of Spain. There are no maps available so you have to explore on your own. Very little varieties of flowers but lots of different trees. Spotted at least 5 species of birds too. Relaxing and cool environment to stay away from the heat. Nice place for kids to play around and has picnic areas too. Emperor valley zoo is just adjacent to the gardens and can be reached walking from within. Safe place for tourist. You can visit during your stroll around the Queen's Savannah park.

I loved it, better than the zoo! There was a picture I captured there of my friend pretending to eat a flower, that has got to be one of my most treasured memories from our trip.

The Botanical gardens are well maintained and are a beautiful peaceful place to visit. There are a number of paths around the garden. The different species of palm trees was very interesting although not all were labelled. I didn't take a guide so I'm not sure how much that would add or take away from the visit.
