Owner description: This popular beach spot fulfills the fantasy of the ideal Caribbean beach, but is just as famous for the scenic rainforest drive that must be made to reach it.

After a pretty drive around the mountain you finally see the stunning Maracas Bay - beautiful and safe for family bathing with delicious Shark "n Bake. A must for any visitor to T&T.

First of all, never have I ever seen someone give our free beach chairs to lounge on - so that was a great perk. The beach is breathtakingly beautiful. The water was warm, the sand was incredibly fine, and the view was simply amazing. We had bake and shark after our beach day at Uncle Sam's and it was delicious.

Wonderful beach, went here with a few Brazilian friends last year and it was different since it was my first time at maracas beach. High tide comes in really fast so if the temperature changes while you are in the water, know high tide is coming. Other than that loved it.

We had visited this bay by yacht and anchored for a night just chilling whilst exploring the north coast. It would have been a wet
landing to have gone ashore so hired a car 2 weeks later. A place just to chill with the locals. A wide beach with palm trees for shelter from the strong sun. The front is strewn with restaurants some with very very hot chilli's....! The backdrop is mountainous, the north coast being the most dramatic and beautiful of Trinidad's island.

I had a good time just playing in the water. Stopped by the local restaurants for some food while at the beach. Worth the drive just to try the bake and shark.
