Owner description: This popular beach spot fulfills the fantasy of the ideal Caribbean beach, but is just as famous for the scenic rainforest drive that must be made to reach it.

If you want to use a buggie board there are sufficient waves. You can walk out pretty far and still have fairly shallow water. There is a nice amount of beach to walk.

Stunning because of the beautiful water and the coconut trees that line the beach. Of course the Bake and Shark was an unique experience. We enjoyed it!

Maracas bay is a nice lime, waves are a bit heavy. Food is great, especially bake and shark from Richards.

I always love to visit Maracs Bay as it is so beautiful. I love the fact that there are so many coconut trees which provide shade from the blazing sun in Trinidad. The cleaners do a good job of keeping the place clean but the citizens must also do their part by not littering so much! The changing rooms could be a bit bigger as it gets cramped on a busy day. The food and drink options are great but the prices are getting a bit high! Overall, this is a lovely beach to visit. The water can become rough though so if you are not a strong swimmer, stay close to the shore!

So we've been told anyway. It was a nice way to spend an afternoon and has great scenery

The drive to the Bay is stunning with all the lush greenery as you go up the mountain

You can catch a maxi cab there and back ($9TT per person, one way), but it was impossible for us to find transport back to POS in the afternoon (which was the case because we went on Jan 1). We ended up paying $250TT to get a private car back as we were getting desperate after waiting for over an hour for a maxi cab heading back to POS

Richard's bake and shark is delicious. Service is wanting, but I guess that's to be expected for that kind of establishment
