“Worth the Drive”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2014

Little harry drive going up but it's well worth the trip. Once you arrive at the peak you won't be disappointed. Very relaxing peaceful stroll to inspect all the sites. The view of the ocean and Port of Spain is absolutely spectacular. Try and go on a clear day for the best view, but regardless of the weather it's worth the trip. It was overcast the day we went but it was still great. If it's rained beware of the rain flies, there will be thousands, but it's mainly inside the building. If you're able to go people have apparently dumped some dogs up there so bring a bag of dog food to put out for them, mainly by the parking lot. They were all friendly and didn't bother anyone, just hungry. We fed them all the snacks we had but it wasn't nearly enough. Again it's well worth the trip if for no other reason but the view and feeding the poor dogs.

“Come up here and learn history...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2014

Fort King George is located on top of Scarborough and requires taxi ride to get here. I wouldn't recommend walking because it's hot and far for average walk. Just hire any taxis and arrange pick up when your done. Allow 2hrs. minimum to walk around the sites and it's fun learning for kids too. It's a fort so expect to see military arsenal like old canon, artillery, gun powder barracks, punishment cells, etc. The surprise here is the view overlooking Tobago's coastline it's a picture perfect. We came here on Sunday and the museum is close so plan your day. Even though there's plenty to see and walking around the sites is highly recommended. There you have it, enjoy the place.

“Well Preserved History Lesson”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2014

Beautifully situated high on a bluff overlooking the Atlantic, this fort is a top site on Tobago. The museum has a collection of curiosities as well as some native Amerindian artifacts. It is well worth a brief wander. The well manicured lawns and plants are perfect for an amble to see the remains of the fort (jail, powder storage, barracks). The views are great. Don't miss it!

“Good views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2014

Interesting museum with friendly staff, offered their personal bottle of water as had walked up the hill in scorching sun, unfortunately no food or drink available for purchase on site.....bring it with you from town. Whilst the museum is interesting it is the panaromic views from the top that are good with very well maintained grounds. Excellent for picnics particularly by the lighthouse
