“BEAUTIFUL”

Reviewed September 13, 2013 via mobile

The area is great for picnics, sunbathing, and surfing. The area beaches will runnout of parking space during the holidays, such as easter weekend. The drive is very scenic as travel is thru various villages.

A very beautiful lighthouse, build with Queen Victoria's initials on! Lovely views out to see. Saw a green turtle swimming around off the rocks. Lovely spot for a picnic as there are lots of tables in shady spots under trees.

Visited the light house as I travelled back from Grande Rivière.
Didn't expect much. Free entry.
But was surprised and the views surpassed my expectations.
The grounds are clean and well kept. Places to have a picnic.
But there is a walk way onto the rocks at the back.
That's where the magic occurred. The sea was rough and as the waves crashed against the rocks lovely sea spray came towards us. Also a few blow holes.
We decided to climb to the bottom. Got some lovely pics.
Great day out.
Excellent picture point.

We drove up from Port of Spain to have lunch. You can see Tobago from here, taste the sea spray, and hear the thunder of waves crashing. Lovely visit. Take a swimming suit and a towel so you can take a dip at Salybia while you are near.

We didn't actually go up the lighthouse, I don't know if that is possible. However, it was a nice little trek through sharp rock formations to get to the sea, which is very rough and can be quite spectacular!
