We are a national, not-for-profit environmental organization dedicated to Environmental Education, Public Awareness and the research, breeding and re-introduction into the wild of locally endangered waterfowl species and other wetland birds. “Good birds, good cause”
Reviewed March 27, 2012

Somewhat counterintuitively, this conservation and education-oriented facility is housed in the center of PetroTrin. The center is dedicated to teaching local children about the importance of preserving the environment. Nice work.

“Birding in a beautiful setting.”
Reviewed March 25, 2012

If you are not a fanatical birder, this a great place to see mainly water fowl, close up, in their natural environment without the discomfort of trekking through swamps and jungle. We saw a huge variety in just a couple of hours.

“relaxing and educational experience”
Reviewed November 27, 2011

My family and I recently visited the trust, for the first time. We were all amazed by the natural beauty, right in our own backyard. Hence, creating a calming, relaxing and not to mention, an educational experience, we'll never forget. On entry we were greeted with the spectacular sight of white and blue peacocks, ducks, exotic birds, the lake.... The guide was very helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

“Scenic, beautiful & wonderous site”
Reviewed September 15, 2011

I recently planned my office yearly retreat; time away from the office where we could get to know each other on a different level. We decided on the Wild Fowl Trust in Pointe-a-Pierre a first time visit for many. The only negative is the smell of the refinery (at the entrance) as the Trust is located on the Petrotrin compound. Although the day chosen for our visit it rained; what we were able to see of the compound was enough. On entry just walking along was a white peacock and ducks & ducklings swimming in the pond. There is a parrot just at the front door who will tell you "hello" and even "hola". There is no cost for the tour which takes 1hour & half but an entrance fee of $15TT per person. Jerseys and other knick-knacks are also on sale. We plan to return very soon.
