Review of Lagoon Beach

Reviewed October 14, 2013

Lagoon beach provides the nicest setting on the island beaches.
Book in advance but keep in mind that the access in the water can be difficult and unpleasant because of the seaweeds.

A very calm and tranquil beach, again with picnic areas. The sea is warm and shallow but can get sea weed at certain times. Great for a walk, paddle, bask or swim.

Great snorkelling and fab sunsets. The sea is so calm and so turquiose you must make sure that you ask your hosts for a picnic here. Remember to bring your jelly shoes because not everywhere along this idyllic shore is a sandy entrance!

Brillant, sneak around to Gelliceaux bay over the rocks for a stunning secluded beach, after that come back to Lagoon beach and chill out at on of the picnic tables. Take a cold beer as you just bath in the shallow waters, you might be treated to a tortoise swimming past as we were if you are lucky. Total indulge for a lazy sunday afternoon, the only pests you will have will be the cute little blackbirds eying up your food!

Normally this beach is very quiet and often you may have it all to yourself in the off-season. There are shallow areas where the water is very warm and if you find the special pocket, it's just like a bath. There is ok snorkeling but it's a swim out from the beach. The beach is lined by palms so you have shade and there is a covered area and grill for a picnic.
