Chef John out did himself for every meal!! Fresh local fish, lobster crab was cooked and presented too perfection every time. The salads were fresh and impeccable with always the perfect amount of dressing. The specials were hard to choose from because they all looked and sounded delicious. It would be hard to pick a favourite but if I had to choose one it would be any one of the Tuna specials. Thank you so much Chef John.

Thank Ingrid S

We came out from Friendship to check out Old Hegg, Crescent beach and Sugar Reef Cafe. We got a delightful table right on the water with gorgeous views. We had a light lunch consisting of Callaloo soup, and a couple of the smaller salads. All was delicious. The rum punch went down pretty good too. While dining, Emmett (the owner) approached and introduced himself. He was very pleasant and made us feel extremely welcome. He offered us the use of his beach lounges for a nap after lunch. A very good experience overall, and we will return!

We very much enjoyed our lunch at Sugar Reef Cafe. Decor/atmosphere of their restaurant is very different than most others in Bequia- more of a high-class feel. Our table faced the ocean and views were lovely. Had callaloo soup, callaloo lasagna and burger- all of which were excellent. Service was also great.

Others reviews had mentioned enjoying the beach there, but we didn't care for it. There were only a handful of beach chairs and a picnic table which were occupied. Water and beach were full of seaweed. The owner greeted us at the door but seemed to cause confusion amongst staff when they were deciding where to seat us (we did not have a reservation). His interjection/disciplining staff initially turned us off but good service, food and ambiance redeemed the place.
