The setting and location was awesome. The grounds to walk around were really great. The food was okay. It was not spectacular- and for the prices that were charged- I thought that it was a little over priced.

We didn't have high expectations for the plantation tour having been told that it's only 30 to 45 minutes and costs only $10EC (about US$4). We were pleasantly surprised with a very enjoyable one hour tour of the plantation's organic garden and tropical fruit grove.

Our guide Keith has worked at the plantation for 12 years and is the most knowledgeable about the grounds. He stopped at every fruit tree and most plants and told us something about it. He cut samples from many plants for us to smell, feel and taste.

He let us sample cocoanuts (meat and water), apples, bananas, oranges, grapefruit and some tropical fruits which I can't recall the names. It was fun to watch him hack the cocoanut with his machete, use a long pole to knock a nut from a tall tree, etc. And I wish I could peel an orange with a paring knife like he does--one long strip of rind separated in record time.

It would have been interesting to learn more about how the plantation operated a couple hundred years ago but that wasn't part of this tour. Nor was there any historical information about the main building (restaurant/hotel).

We didn't have high expectations so we weren't disappointed by what was lacking from the tour. We enjoyed talking with our guide, learning about the plants, walking through the beautiful property and tasting SWEET fruit straight from the tree. It was well worth the money and I recommend this attraction to other visitors.

Visited the Firefly twice, once for dinner and again for the plantation tour. Dinner was good, nothing wrong with it except the price. We got more creatively presented and tastier meals at other restaurants for far less money. The plantation tour was given by a man who really didn't have much in the way of people skills, kind of quiet and grumpy. Maybe he was just having a bad day, but that's not the caliber or person one would expect at such an exclusive resort setting. The grounds are lovely, there is much potential there. Hopefully it is still a work in progress.

We eat both Sundays on Bequia in the Firefly overlooking the gardens & plantation.
The setting is very old school caribbean with 5 star food & service.
There is a set 3 course meal with a choice of 5 different curries.
Goat, Fish, Chicken, Beef & Conch I think
I had the Goat curry both times & my wife had the Chicken.
It was the best curries on the island during our holiday.
Thanks to Rodney, Fast Eddie & Keith for a well informed tour of the Plantation gardens.

Lovely location, very good food and cocktails. Best on the island. However the advertised close beach will be a disappointment. It's not used, has no facilities and poor swimming conditions. The hotel should not say they are walking distance from a beach without more information.
