Excellent experience. First time on a schooner. Crew were professional and competent.
Unfortunately had a wee touch of nausea which was settled by consuming ginger which settled my discomfort.
Food was very good and trip was an experience never to be forgotten.
Thanks to everyone on board for a great day

We took the trip to the Tobago Cays on March 13th, 2014 and had a great day. The Grenadines are beautiful islands and definitely worth seeing from the sea. The crew did an excellent job serving us and the food and drinks were much better than we were expecting. Having the 20 lb King fish for lunch which was caught that morning on our trip down was a great treat. The snorkeling around the Cay is excellent as we saw plenty of turtles and lots of beautiful fish on the coral reef. Highly recommend taking this trip if you are spending some time on Bequia.

This is a great trip to a beautiful location. However, to be fair it's important that you consider carefully before booking. The weather makes or breaks the trip - we went on a sunny but fairly windy day which meant wearing heaps of sunblock and covering up on the 3hour long trip to the Cays. The sea is proper open water stuff - big waves, you are a long way from shore if you are not used to sailing. And if the weather is bad I can imagine it would be hellish. It's a long day. But with dry weather and kind seas, it's an amazing trip. The Cays are magical. Turquoise water, teeming with wildlife. The coral is past its best, but to swim with turtles is a lifetime experience. The ship is well equipped, the crew efficient and friendly and we were well looked after with plenty of food and drinks. The ship is lovely and once you turn into the calm of Port Elizabeth, the final reward is a wonderful, sunset-lit view of the island.

Some of these sailing excursions are pretty ordinary but not Friendship Rose. We had a beautiful day aboard. The ship is a beauty. The food was superb and the staff just excellent. We did the Mustique trip and that was interesting. Mustique is really just one big resort. The sail was the best part of the day. A very romantic old schooner. Highly recommend springing for this trip!

What a fantastic trip we had from start to finish. Staff and crew very friendly and helpful. ..can't fault them and they work so hard. Food and drink plentiful and delicious. We went on the Tobago trip which starts at roughly 7 am and gets back at about 5.30 pm so a good long day and excellent value for money. You get all the snorkeling equipment provided which is a must if you want to swim with the turtles they are amazing. So much to see and met so many fascinating people. Thank you so much to all for making it a trip of a lifetime
