I am a resident of this island and I immensely enjoy every trip I take to the gardens. Its quite peaceful and relaxing, lovely breeze, flowers and trees. The garden opens daily from 6am to 6pm and there is a small entrance fee. You can take a paid tour with a guide and learn the history behind the gardens and also of the many trees grown inside. Take along a book, your tablet and a towel and relax on the well manicured lawn. You are quite safe. Also you can visit the parrots and have a look at our national bird the Amazona Guildingii, which proudly boasts the colours of our National Flag, blue yellow and green. The washroom facilities are clean and well supplied. Vehicle parking is available for free. Bring along some refreshments and most often you are able to purchase water, soft drinks and beers from vendors outside the gate. The kids will never be bored looking at the fishes in the fish ponds nor shouting "hello" to the parrots. so you will have some time to yourself like i do :-)
