Owner description: Dark View Falls are two spectacular waterfalls, one above the other, cascading down high cliff faces and plunging into natural pools. The waterfalls flow all year from a tributary of the Richmond River. A natural Bamboo bridge spans the tumbling river, luring you to the two majestic falls. Forgot to post some of the pics from Dark View. It was certainly a nice hike and not too long. The rocks seem a lil intimidating but its really not that bad. Definitely you want to want to wear proper shoes. And if your native you can choose to go barefoot. The water was certainly crisp but refreshing You get used to the coldness after a while. A lil hennessy helps..lol.. Certainly missing that experience!

My family is from St.Vincent and the Grenadines and I come to the island every year for carnival but this was the first time I actually did some traveling.. There is no actual payment to get in but the host does ask for a contribution which is sensible..I was a just a bit scared crossing the bamboo bridge.. But it's really not high up... There are about 3 waterfalls and on our way to the last waterfall we met a few others... We caught cray fish... Had a few drinks and conversed... Good Times!

“Beautiful and good”

This would be amazing and was the first few times I visited. Sadly it has been changed to make it like a them park for cruse ship guest and every truly natural thing has been changed. SAD somethings are just not for everyone.

Thank you for visiting our falls, everyone is being charged a small fee as they enter the site including international visitors not just local visitors are being charged and that fee is used to keep the site up and running so that everyone can come to enjoy and have a good time.

“My opinion of Dark View Falls”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 27, 2012

It's really the ultimate trip for any person out sight-seeing, because of the distance I got to see a lot on the leeward sight of the island, if you are uncomfortable in the heat, Dark View is the place to go because it is really cool. I am an adventurous person so I Enjoyed crossing the bamboo bridge.

“Risk the bamboo bridge!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2012

On a day trip along the Leeward side of the island we stopped off here and were not disapointed. We first risked the bamboo bridge (conventional bridge available further up) then saw the lower falls which were impressive.
We decided to walk up to the upper falls, which was a huge treck and not for the less able bodied as steep, uneven steps and then a risky climb over rocks and through rock pools to get to the falls. Once there, well worth the effort and bathing in the pool is refreshing
(i.e. COLD!) but MUST be done.
Be carefull on the walk down as wet feet/shoes make it even more scary!
I'm not the adventurous outdoors type, but would recommend this to anyone as long as fit and healthy.
