“The culinary version of the Emperor's New Clothes”
Reviewed April 9, 2011

A stunningly expensive meal of very little content, incorrectly cooked (I sent the steak back) cold when it arrived the first time and with order accompaniments forgotten.
The staff are trained to within an inch of their lives (and ours) and so we had a 'dining experience' rather than a meal. Being a North American establishment it caters to North Americans and so tends towards the familiar but undemanding.
The place had only reopened recently and so some teething problems were to be expected - but this really was poor - and completely unapologetic.
The restaurant setting is spectacular.

“A little bit of luxury on our budget trip”
Reviewed September 30, 2008

We decided to have lunch at the Four Seasons during our day trip to Nevis. After taking the ferry over and traveling the entire island, it was 2 pm and I was hungry! The property is so pretty! After staying at the Marriott in St Kitts, it was nice to see a more secluded, less showy version of luxury. Driving towards the Marriott, you couldn't help but stare; we didn't really notice we were coming up on the Four Seasons until we saw the sign.

We parked in the visitor's lot, though I assume they have valet parking (their website says that they do). We walked around the whole property first, wondering if someone would notice that we weren't hotel guests and question us. Everyone was more than friendly! We finally found our way to The Pool Cabana, the only lunch choice at the hotel. I love the mix of casual luxury that it exudes! We were quickly seated and given some fresh washcloths and menus.

We both ordered chicken quesadillas for lunch, and I had a La Fresca, a frozen lemonade drink spiked with Vodka. My drink was perfect for a hot day, a great blend of sweet and liquor. While we were waiting for our food, they brought out a basket of fried plantains with salsa. They were excellent! Our quesadillas came out pretty quickly, and they were excellent as well (a little cheesy for my taste, but still very good). The guacamole and salsa that they served with them were super fresh and tasty.

As expected, the service was excellent. We never wanted for anything...well, maybe, except for a larger stomach so I could finish my meal. Also, as expected, it was expensive. The quesadillas, a drink, and tip, and we were at just shy of $70. Oh well, it's a pretty cheap way to experience the Four Seasons!
