This resort is undergoing significant renovations. Over 1/2 of the resort is unavailable for use. There is no main lobby. 3 of the 5 listed restaurants on the website are closed. of the 2 restaurants still open 1 of them (Mangos) is only open 3 nights a week for dinner service. The remainder of the time you have to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at the outdoor cabana restaurant, which has mediocre food at best. 1 of the 3 pools is closed (the adult only pool). over 1/2 of the beach is torn up due to doing rebuilding for hurricane preparation. During the weekdays dump drunks and other loud machinery is on the beach so even when you are sitting on the "open" side it is loud and not peaceful. They are also repairing the resort dock so additional drilling adding to the noise. The golf course has brown fairways and not well maintained. The spa while lovely is extremely noisy as well. the halls carry noise and it contains the only bathroom in the "sports complex" area. So while trying to enjoy a massage children of all ages were running up and down the hallways screaming and playing. Obviously, this distracts from what was meant to be a peaceful, relaxing experience. I recommend that the hotel add a bathroom in the gym or other location in the sports area and keep children under the age of 16 out of the spa. Additionally, I found the state of the resort open to not be even close to typical Four Seasons Caliber. Our room was dirty upon arrival and had to be re-cleaned. There are dirty common bathrooms with fixtures (toilet paper holders, pictures) falling off the walls. I almost cut my hand on the multiple missing tiles on the pool edge. In short, this resort has a LONG way to go to be considered a luxury hotel and even further to go to become "Four Seasons" reputation worthy. The most positive thing about the experience was the management staff. Garison, Kerry (mall) and head chef, Sam, were all very understanding, helpful and accommodating. There customer service skills are exactly what I expect out of the Four Seasons Staff! It is because of these people that once the renovation is done I will return. And the reason I will remain loyal to the Four Seasons Brand. My suggestion is call the hotel and find out when renovations will be done and go after :-)

Excellent service! Great resort! Would recommend anyone looking for a vacation to consider this as a option. The pool staff was excellent. They offer several daily activities that can be enjoyed by all ages.

The Four Season Resort Nevis is a place where you can lay back and relax, there is not much to do. The food is above average. The views are great, especially if you like being on the ocean. You have the atlantic and the carribean to go finshing, snorkelling or just be lazy. It all works. Remember this is an island. Don't expect things right away. It is not the typical Four Seasons. You will experience a delay when you want something done. So be prepared.

Room Tip: I prefer the 1st. floor. You can walk out to the beach.

We stayed at this resort on Nevis for 5 nights in August. We were disappointed to find that the resort was undergoing major renovations during our stay, and that half of the rooms and beach were under construction. All restaurants but one were closed, and the adults-only pool was also closed. Given the small amount of people at the resort, this didn't hugely impact us.Our room was in great shape and was very nicely furnished, as well as being very clean. The restaurants (same one for breakfast and lunch each day, and a different one for dinner) were extremely overpriced, and the food was mediocre at best. The service at the restaurants was also very slow, even on "island time." We had a much better time when we left the resorts and visited nearby restaurants. The staff was wonderfully friendly. They knew us by name and greeted us warmly wherever we went. My husband loved the golf course, and I enjoyed the running trails.Overall our visit was very nice, and I would return. I would rate the resort as a 4-star though and not 5-star.

We visited during the second week of Aug. We stayed here six years earlier and enjoyed it more the second time. The reason is because of the service, not the actual resort. However, the resort itself will be improved shortly. So far what I saw changed was to better prepare the resort for hurricanes. There are some renovations currently to a number of areas including the beach by the adults only pool, Coral Grill, the main lobby, and Neve. The construction shouldn't deter you. The noise is occasional hammering - not jackhammering. The rooms near the construction are empty, so you shouldn't be concerned about it. If you are a baseball throw away the sounds of the ocean are louder. We really enjoyed the dining. This isn't one of those resorts where you have to save beach and pool chairs. So many pluses, but what stands out the most is the service. They really try to make sure you enjoy your vacation. So many people stand out that I think it begins from the top and Philip, the general manager.
Tips: I recommend the water taxi, not sure how else you'd get there. It really starts the vacation off on the right foot. There are mosquitoes, but Off works. The hotel provides bottled water. I also recommend the breakfast combination offer. The kids club is really great, we hardly use sitters at home but our children really enjoyed the club. I also recommend utilizing the golf or tennis courts for those interested. The beach sand is very soft, water shoes unnecessary.

Room Tip: Everything beach front has a good view of the ocean. The rooms are pretty spacious
