Just returned from a week at the 4S Nevis. We are a family of 6 with 4 kids 3-12. We all had a great time. The resort itself is great. The staff is outstanding. We were greeted with a smile by everyone from management to the housekeeping staff to the groundskeepers. The property itself is in great condition (obviously since it has just reopened in December). The pools were really nice and the attendants were very, well, attentive and courteous. I like the fact that they had areas for kids and areas for adults only and everyone actually obeyed the rules ! We ate breakfast every day at the restaurant Neve. I found the quality good and fesh but very expensive both for Breakfast and dinner. Service there as with every place on property was outstanding. A few were clearly inexperienced as far as some formalities but they are very nice and happy to serve. I would encourage you to explore the island and eat at the local places. We liked Bananas, Golden Rock, Double Deuce, Sunshine's and a few others. Island Tour with a driver/ tour guide is a fun outing. "Humpy" gave us out tour and he drove us to several dinners off property as well. The guy remembers every date and event about Nevis and is a really nice fellow. Ask for him for yout tour. Sweet-pea is a very nice lady who braids hair on the beach and is a hoot to talk to. My kids really liked her and she saw us off when the ferry left. The beach sand was a bit darker than many of the places I have been bue to the fact that this island is volcanic and they just rebuilt the beach after the Hurricane destroyed it bit it was great nonetheless and Samuel will be sure to take care of you while you are there with a cool towel or drink or a tasty snack. Best service we ever experienced, really. Rooms were very clean and well appoited. We had the 3BR beachfront suite. Loved it. My wife and I both used the Spa and had great treatments in a great facility. Highly recommended.

All in all, the whole family enjoyed the 4S Nevis and would definitely return one day.

We have stayed at other FS properties & hoped this one would measure up. It certainly did! The remodel after the hurricane is done & the property is spectacular. It was wonderful experience for us & our daughter. Kids 4 All Seasons does a great job & really helped us manage family time & couple time. I used the spa & it was very nice. Our room was very spacious & clean & fresh. Bed were divine! There are washers & drivers to use which was great. Every staff person we worked with was so nice. There are 3 lovely pools so if you have littles you have a huge pool option with other families at your stage in life & if you don't want kiddos around, there is big, lovely adult only pool. The center pool was fantastic & we spent our time lolling with fresh treats offered each hour. Kids can go there also, but tended to be a bit past age 8 to teen. We ate at all the restaurants and am happy to report the food is stellar! Nice variety also. Room Service was prompt which is so nice. We did eat offf-property at Lime, Double Deuce, Indian Summer & Botanic Garden restaurants which were all delish! We rented a car easily & did a tour of the island which is very quiet & laid back. Also 4S hooked us up for some terrific diving and a lovely horse riding experience. It was a solid, relaxing time with lots of other nice families. I don't mind a little flight time to get to paradise. You get what you invest is how I see it. And with Nevis 4S, you get a fulfilling vacation for the whole family.

It's hard to imagine a better resort for my growing family. My husband and I love to travel and have been around the world together to many luxury hotels and unique destinations. But once we had our kids we had to redefine "vacation"! We tried leaving the little ones at home while we ventured out but we missed them terribly and worried about them too much to truly relax. We have dragged them to very adult places where they have been cranky, unhappy and embarrassing. And we have all gone to kid friendly resorts that have been cheesy, overpriced and dirty. So when we finally stumbled upon the Four Seasons Nevis we thought we had died and gone to family vacation heaven! It has everything for everyone: the kids have their own shallow pool, beach toys, playground, activities, menus and staff that genuinely seem to enjoy them and we have the luxury we crave, top-notch sports, decadent food, sumptuous rooms and staff that genuinely seems to enjoy our kids! Additionally, Nevis is a lovely island that is sparsely inhabited, natural, friendly and incredibly gorgeous. It is quite challenging to get to, but somehow you instantly forget all about the connecting flights, cramped and hot airport and chaotic baggage claim as soon as you set sail on the Four Seasons boat with a complimentary rum punch in hand. We plan to return every year until our brood grows old! It's an ideal family resort!

We have been researching this property for a while now. We will try to be specific as we can.
Pros- Beautiful property. Service was amazing. Spa was fantastic. Golf was great, challenging yet fun. Views of Mt Nevis and St Kitts were spectacular.
Cons- Travel was not easy getting to Nevis. Mosquitos. Restaurants were good on property, but we had better food off property. (Montpelier Plantation and Bananas were exceptional, and it gave us a chance to really experience the island).

Rooms-We stayed in a plantation suite in building 5. We booked a deluxe ocean view room, but our reservation included an upgrade based on availability, so we were pleased to have the suite. I would recommend a 2nd floor room. We were on the first floor, so you didn't have the same view of the ocean that I'm sure we would have on the 2nd floor. That and there was a family above us, so you could hear the kids running around the room early in the morning. All said, the room was spacious and well-appointed. Comfortable beds. Flat screen TVs with satellite tv.

Pools-The pools were beautiful and new. There are 3 and all overlook the beach/ocean. A family pool, garden pool and a reflection/adult pool. Service was great, except for the first day. That may have been because a large group was checking in at one time, so the hotel may have not had enough people to provide the normal Four Seasons type service.

Spa- We enjoyed the 80 minute island hopper massage twice. Amazing views of Mt Nevis, seperate hot and cold plunge pools. The gym is located next to the spa, and it had new, state of the art equipment. The golf clubhouse/tennis shop were also first class. Many tennis courts and the golf course is one of the best in the caribbean.

Kids club- Though did not use it, it seemed very nice and well thought out. Lots of activities for kids 3-9 years old and the activities change daily. We will take advantage of this next time. Many families and children were checking in as we were leaving, probably for spring break.

Beach- This was the topic of many conversations: It is not the white powdery sand you see on other islands. It was a brown/black/gray sand. Powdery, but not white and fluffy. I believe this is due to the fact that Nevis is a volcanic island. There was a constant breeze on the beach which was nice and it was never too hot. The water was a bit murky at first, but cleared up when the waters were calm. We were constantly amused by the pelican dive bombers. You just have to see it.

Things to also check out- Walk 5-10 mins down the beach to Lime, Chevys and Sunshines for great food, fun people and powerful drinks. Lime was the Green Flash, Chevys was stinger bee and Sunshines was the killer bee. Very relaxed island type place. Bob Marley will be playing at all 3 places. We also took a snorkel trip with Lennox-a great excursion.

Overall- We really liked the hotel and look forward to going back.

This was our first time in St. Kitts and Nevis. We absolutely adored it! My husband and I have traveled extensively throughout the world and the Caribbean. He grew up on a near by island and we were amazed with Nevis. Gorgeous island. Exactly what we were looking for.

First I want to start off with how engaging and friendly everyone was. Not just at the hotel but throughout the island. And the people and the service were not just polite and helpful but warm and positive and happy. I can not tell you what a difference that makes. There are many beautiful and luxurious places to stay in the Caribbean but we will continue to return to Nevis and the Four Seasons based on the open, friendly nature of the people. It can not be beat!!

Nevis feels timeless. Even though the Four Seasons is a modern, upscale resort (and the only one on the island of that size and style) it still retains a very quiet, old world romanctic place. We felt very secluded from life and the world. Even more so than when we've stayed at other places like Sandy Lane, Caneel Bay, Cotton House, etc.. The rest of the island exudes this even more. We traveled to several sugar plantation/hotels which are spectacular in ambiance and class. The towns are set up on the British style parish system and it's very quaint. The island is not over developed (yet and we HOPE it stays this way)! This is why we love it so.

The rooms are very large at the Four Seasons. There is not a bad view in this hotel. Even if you go for the mountain view rooms you will not be disappointed and personally net time we will choose Mountain view. We spend very little time in our rooms while the sun is up so the 20min in the morning, we enjoy looking at lush and green Mt. Nevis The products are all L'Occtaine. The bathrooms are spacious, luxurious-typical design/style of Four Seasons. The beds are large and comfortable. The overall decor and layout of the room is exactly what you expect from Four Seasons, high quality. The service is superb as stated above. When we would ask a question and didn't know it, they would actually search us out later to give us an answer (and these were just trivial questions like when did St. Kitts/Nevis gain their independence...).

My husband and I were traveling for our mini-moon, so we definitely wanted to avoid the big family resort. The Four Seasons was great. There seems to be an unassigned, natural division of family/kids side and adult side. Of the 3 stunning pools, one is adults only. The beach in front of the adults only pool only had adults as well though I don't think that's by a rule. It just seemed to happen. We did hang out on the "family" side and it was very calm and nice too. Like most beach resorts there was dining on the beach for lunch or drinks. The lunches were brought on bed trays that fit your lounge chair and the food came in nice benot boxes. The lunches were great. A good mixture of lite fair for me and good sandwiches and burgers for my husband. Food and drinks are expensive but typical for island/resort stays.

There are 3 dinner locations plus most nights there is a "special" event. Maybe BBQ or tropical buffet etc... The best place by far is Mangos. It's on the property but off to the north of the property a bit. Go right before sunset (although this does make your meal a bit early) and you sit right on the water and watch every aspect of full sun to complete darkness during your meal. The Four Seasons faces West so you have stunning sunsets every night! The Coral Grill's interior decr is very pretty and a good place to go if you want to sit inside or it's dark outside already. There is also a very casual Italian restaurant for dinner. It's the same location as breakfast.

After our meals we would have drinks in the library bar or one of the porches of the lobby. The library bar is perfect for us. We wanted quiet, relaxed setting where we would talk and read and listen to the gentle standards cd music. One wish is that their wine menu was a little more extensive. But it was fine and quite nice. We particularly loved that they try to buy locally as much as possible. We know that's hard when living on an island.

St. Kitts isn't too far away if you want more hustle and bustle. Seems they are building for the Cruise ship crowd. No offense to anyone but we really hope that doesn't negatively impact Nevis. We know economically that is probably a great thing for the locals but Nevis' charm is it's untouched feel.

There is a beautiful golf course, a spa (we didn't try though), tennis courts, shuffle board, running trails and water sports. The non motorized sports are included. They do have have jet ski rentals and a motor boat that can take you tubing but it only seemed to go every few hours or so. We didn't look into it but we only noticed one boat every few hours so it was not disruptive at all.

The beach is big, long and you are never near another group or person. You never have to fight for chairs or beds. The ocean is calm and very blue. The water isn't as clear as say St. Johns but it's beautiful and you can snorkel. There are lots of pelicans (never near or around you though) and they became our entertainment. We would see them soar up and dive down to catch fish. We would each pick one and see who's bird got the most fish etc...

We absolutely fell in love with Nevis and will be returning to the Four Seaons in June. We can't wait to explore more. Oh and the pictures on their website don't lie! It's actually prettier than the website!

Great job Four Seaons Nevis!!
