We have toured to other islands in the Caribbean and Tree Frogs and Nevis have had the best facilities and service we have ever come across. Nevis is quiet, yet everyone welcomes you with a cheery 'hello, welcome to Nevis, can we help you?'. The hotel bars and restaurants are expensive but there are plenty of local, extremely good ones to try instead - after all we came here to meet locals not tourists! Food, drinks quality was excellent. Beaches are clean and clear waters, however the ones we tried (and we tried most of them) all had a small shelf which may not be suitable for little children - go to Oualie where they can walk in safely. Nowhere is very far on this island so don't be put off by distances.
Tree Tops is a very special villa. The lanai type verandah means that you can eat out with the breeze blowing softly through, but no flies or mosquitoes - heaven! The pool was clean and quite large for our experience of villas in the Caribbean, however in Jan/Feb was a little too cold for us to use. The villa has everything you could possibly want. There is a second lanai patio at the back (which wasn't mentioned in the information when we went so was a bonus). It is very well equipped and very clean and spacious. The views are great and watching the monkeys is fun. Although inland a short drive from the beach/town the roads again were well made and although we had a 4x4 (which you would need for visiting off the beaten track beaches) would not be required if just going from the villa into town or to well known beaches. We did not find the steps up to the villa a problem.
Thank you Anna for letting us stay in your wonderful villa. It really did feel like a home from home, but with sunshine!
Take the stone path, steep and dusty to reach the villa, although not very long but still a bit challenging, is the price to pay to achieve the beautiful greenery and flowers subdivision of Fern Hill Estate, very quiet, where the spacious villa Tree Frogs is located.
The villa, nice, (very comfortable and very clean beds) and very well equipped, is consistent with what we had seen on the website Tripadvisor and the discovery of Tree Frogs was a very good surprise.
The pool, although not heated, is well exposed, and it was nice to swim early morning or late evening. Beautiful views of the neighboring island of St Kitts from the pool. What a pleasure, at 7 o'clock every morning to see our friends the monkeys out of the undergrowth and come walk in the beautiful garden. Respectful of their tranquility, there was no question for us to disturb or attempt to tame with a few treats, but only to observe.
We have not had any inconvenience during our stay and took full advantage of the comfort of this beautiful villa, very well located, just ten minutes drive from the quiet Paradise beach and a quarter of an hour of peaceful and both lively town of Charlestown.
Air conditioning, essential in the evening, works very well. As Anna says, ants are present, then it must be very careful not to leave any food outside closets.
We loved this week in Nevis. For those who, like us, like the authenticity and charm of uncrowded islands, Nevis is preferable to neighboring St Kitts, although the latter have other attractions.
We recommend Tree Frogs without hesitation
