The Rocks at Golden Rock is one of the most beautiful and romantic places to eat, especially in the evening. The beautiful terraces and the lighting are stunning, the service is genuine and friendly, the food is wonderful and they have the best rum punch on the island. We absolutely love the conch chowder, and the rack of lamb, mahi mahi, snapper and other entrees are all lovely. The wine list has nice choices at a good value. The lunch menu also wonderful, try the tuna nicoise.

If you have always wanted to dine in an opulent tropical 007 Bond setting, this is the place for you. The food is first class, excellent - priced well meaning great value for a surprisingly modest bill. The staff are elegant, Nevisian refined and very friendly. At first seemingly quiet and shy but once you show interest in their lives, they open up and are forthcoming about themselves and the island. (After all it isn't 'all about us' now is it) Coming from Europe where the Michelin star prevails, this restaurant easily meets the criteria without the pompous attitude. We will return. Beauty abounds and there is not one millimetre of visual that is not stunning. A must if you are to visit Nevis. And some reviews say it is "far"? It is difficult for me to comprehend that as the entire island is only 36 sqaure miles. Nowhere is far from anywhere else if you think a 20 minute drive is "far." Do visit. You will not be disappointed.

Ok I didn't get to eat here but had to say its absolutely the most beautiful place I have ever seen. The volcano in the back ground, flowers, birds, monkeys. It's a great stone building with big open orange doors, reflective pools with coy and lilly pads. Quite a place, will go stay someday.

Obviously a huge amount of money has been spent here and the gardens in particular are beautiful. Even though I live in the region, I saw plants and blooms I'd never seen before. However, for me personally, the dining area was too theatrical and didn't seem to fit in with the Nevis vibe. The lighting was poor where we ate supper and yet over-done in other areas, reminiscent of a stage set. It just seemed as if they were trying too hard to create an atmosphere which, for me just didn't work. The supper itself for fairly good although the service was indifferent. Some people will like it for being grandiose.

My wife and I had lunch at the Golden Rock Inn during a bike tour around the island. It's a unique setting on the island, with fabulous views from high above the Atlantic. The lobster sandwich was the best on the island! Worth making a trip.
