Oualie Beach restaurant and resort has an old and tired atmosphere. Lunch at their open-air restaurant was o.k. and convenient. Service was on "island time." No need to rush back.
The beach was relatively shallow and protected--good for families with young children.
If the sea is calm and clear, snorkeling out to the rocky point (marked by S&N flag) at the north-end is nice. However, Nevis doesn't have extensive reef formations, so snorkeling offshore is generally unspectacular.
