We were just off the ship and trying to decide with whom to take a little tour of the island. Then Beulah, a charming lady speaking excellent English came up to us. She offered us a 2 hr tour for $10.00 per person, I felt at ease with her right away. The group of 14 gathered exactly were she explained, everyone was on time and off we went. We were offered refreshments for the ride for $1.00. Her driver was very careful at the wheel and Beulah's tour was just excellent! She explained everything and answered all questions, and even made a few jokes. I'm so happy we went with her !

We were met at the port by Beulah the owner of Welcome Tours. At the designated time she directed us to a gentleman who walked us to the ferry which took us over to Nevis to officially begin our tour. We met the gentleman at the dock and entered his nearby van to begin our island tour. The guide was not personable or interesting even. He occasionally filled us in on what we were viewing out the windows. He took us past Alexander Hamiltons birthplace but did not stop there for us to get out and inspect. Then he took us to Four Seasons Resort and drove up to the part near the golf course telling us we could get out and walk around if desired. We opted not to. From there he took us to "Bath Hotel" where we got out and looked at some disgusting looking hot pool. He drove us to a high point almost backing up into another vehicle. He then took us to a place where Princess Diana had vacationed with her sons before her death. He dropped us off there for about 30 minutes. Then he took us to some open air shack high in the hills for lunch. While it had a pretty nice view it was not the place described in Welcome Tours website as a place on the beach by a hotel resort we were supposed to be served a lunch. He then took us back to the ferry for us to cross back to St Kitts. We asked him several questions along the way which he barely answered and really didn't tell us much about what we were seeing or the history of the island. This tour was a great disapointment and not worth the money we paid for it.

I'm using Beulah to plan as many activities as I can and I must say her service has been the best.

I have pre-arranged all of my tours with her, she is quick to reply to email requests and has gone out of her way to make any adjustments to our schedule as required.

From Zipline, Rainforest, Catamaran, Snorkle and more she has all of the contacts it seems that you would ever need. She interacts so well she could be a personal planner without a problem (although I'm sure she would need a staff of 20+ for all of the requests)

I can't wait to visit the Island and will have more to report back once we return home.

Thanks So Far !

What fun to be greeted by owner Beulah with her enthusiasm and charisma (and great accent!). With a need to troubleshoot another tour, she handed our group off to Lyndon, who was an able tour guide. Our tour started with a stop at a private home with an amazing view of the bay and lovely grounds (Palm Court Gardens). We also visited Romney Manor, an historic home/plantation that included artisans demonstrating batik. Our last stop was at Frigate Bay Beach where we snorkeled and fellow travelers experienced a delicious lunch at a casual beach restaurant. The beach was not crowded at all - it felt like your own private experience, almost. Lyndon allowed us to set the time for our pickup from the beach, a nice option. All in all, a low-key but fun way to experience the island.
