“A little piece of paradise in paradise”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

Our cruise ship stopped at st kitts in march of 2013 and we were able to take advantage of this lovely garden. As you walk into the gardens there is some quiet music playing, birds chirping, it feels almost surreal. A beautiful infinity pool to take advantage of along with a small bar and restaurant. We paid 10 each to use the facilities for the day. Plenty of lounge chairs, tables and chairs. There is also a lovely little shop in the gardens called shell works. They make earrings necklaces right on the premises and are reasonably priced. Of the whole 7 days at sea this was the best day for me. Loved it and can't wait to come back. Well worth the 6 dollar taxi drive.

“Perfect Cruise Day!”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

Our group of nine did a two-hour tour that included Bassaterre, Romney Manor and Timothy Hill with Rose (from Rose & Jim's Tours) that we arranged through Liz Periera. Rose was great - a knowledgeable and entertaining tour guide. She dropped us off after the tour at Palm Court Gardens, where Liz had reserved the sun beds for us. We spent the afternoon at this stunning private oasis, marveling that of the three thousand people on the ship, we were the only ones that found this place! (I almost hate to share, but just can't be that selfish!) The food was good, the bar was open, and views were stunning and we had the place almost to ourselves. On top of that, the handcrafted jewelry and other items offered at the gift shop were beautiful - way above standard tourist fare. As a final plus, the proceeds from Palm Court Gardens go to help educate special needs kids in St. Kitts. All in all, the best port stop on our cruise!

“Very beautiful but not tranquil when we were there!!”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

We arrived Friday, March 1st when in port on the Carnival Valor. We got there when it opened at 9 am and were in awe of how beautiful it was. Much love and care has gone into this property for sure. A nice view. Wow! We were patting ourselves on the back for finding such a lovely place for the day.
We walked from the port, about 20 minutes walking briskly.
We nabbed one of the sunbeds, very comfy place to settle in.
We bought lunch and the food was good. They kept a tab and you paid when you left.
A few tours brought people in just for a brief look around (what a tease!)
Note that although there are umbrellas around the pool chairs they are mainly for show, they are anchored in big flower pots that did not move and did not provide shade to the chairs or sunbeds until 1 or 2 pm. The only shady spot for the morning was at the table and chairs in front of the bar.
Internet was free and worked well.
The pool was refreshing, very clean. The hot tub was working well too.
About 9:30 lots of young adults started streaming in, some with ship towels.
We realized that they were ship crew (many entertainment staff) enjoying a day off in port. It made sense, it was close to port, inexpensive (word was that they got a discount and incentive for bringing others?) and had internet and lovely pool.
Soon they were bringing out extra folded lounge chairs and setting them up around the pool and on the lawn. it definably changed the tranquil vibe.
The crew were fun to watch at first until they really took over the place.
We are not prude (really!) but many were couples (gay and straight) and glad to publicly show affection. Enough said....
Not sure if this is a regular thing or just a fluke the day we were there.
We are doing the same cruise next year and may give this another go. Not sure.
Hope this helps!

“Cool Man”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

This is an oasis of tranquillity on the outskirts of Basseterre.

The gardens are exceptionally well maintained.

There is a fantastic view over the main harbour at Basseterre and the town generally.

The Gardens are within walking distance of Basseterre.

This is just the place to chill out away from the crowds
