The restaurant was encouragingly busy but the overall experience this Monday evening was a disappointing one. Service not in the least charming, food pricey for what it was (and overcooked), and the menu over-fussy in the tradition of "fine dining". Wine - the house Merlot - was, however, excellent. Specifically, my Caesar salad was OK but not a patch on Babaloo's at two-thirds the price; the Mahi mahi entree dry, and the chicken curry fiercely hard and bitter - all in all not justifying a premium price. This was a disappointing way to end a holiday.
