We spent our 30th anniversary at the Golden Lemon almost 2 years ago and want nothing more than to go back which we hope to do in June. It was the perfect place for us to relax with each other, enjoy a few good books, and explore the island as, and when we wanted to.

The food was absolutely incredible, Arthur and Martin are wonderful hosts, nothing could have matched their personable touch before dinner as we all discussed the days events.

When it is incredibly windy here, it reminds me of the waves breaking beneath our deck as we slept. And nothing here can match the multitude ot stars in the sky.

I would return in a hearbeat.

Just got back from a week's stay at the Golden Lemon. The people were warm and friendly and the owner were very nice. The location was very serene and quiet. Even though our stay was very enjoyable, we couldn't help but be disappointed. The Golden Lemon is celebrating it's 40th anniversary this year - and the age is showing. The buildings are a bit tired and need a facelift, the bathrooms especially. With a little investment and TLC, I am sure the Golden Lemon could easily return to it's former glory.

This was my first holiday in decades that wasn't self-catered, and it was fantastic! Conversation in the evenings before dinner, led by our wonderful hosts Arthur and Martin, reminded me of the past when everyone knew how to really talk, and the island's pace was slow and unhurried. I didn't touch a car, telephone or computer for over a week and couldn't have been happier! The food was fantastic (don't skip the porridge, it's wonderful!), the island citizens kind (one fellow offered to give us jellies (boiled cow's hooves) just because we'd strolled by him and his friends on a morning walk) and very tolerant of us "invaders," and there's access to great wreck diving and fun snorkeling, if you can rouse the energy to leave your villa and plunge pool, which we could not.We were married at the Inn, and Arthur and Martin made the experience memorable and warm. We couldn't be more pleased.Bring your mosquito repellent and truly rest from the madness of modern living in this wonderful spot. Don't skip Brimstone Hill! It's AMAZING!!!!!it's not all glammed up here, you'll see goats and chickens and people on the narrow roads, corrugated tin roofs, but also stunning scenery and some of handsomest, gentlest people on earth here. Love it!

We just returned from a week in St. kitts and loved every minute of it!! If you are looking for an island with a lot of action, St. Kitts is probably not for you. We went with the intentions of destressing and that is exactly what we did. Besides the island tour provided by the driver from the Golden Lemon, and the catamaran tour, we kicked back in an idyllic setting and relaxed. The terrain of the island is so varied and it is great that you can walk around freely and feel safe. We walked from Dieppe Bay to St. Paul - and my husband ran this trek every morning. The local people were truly cordial - constantly wishing us a good stay. The Golden Lemon was great - we had a private pool and a deck that overlooked the ocean. The food was first rate at all meals, but especially at dinner. The menu is different daily for 14 days, thenit startst he rotation again. So you are truly not limited in your choices. I would be happy to provide more details should someone be interested.
