Captain Sunshine was friendly and helpful right from the beginning...he made our tour a personal experience. We kept in touch prior to our trip and it made the planning a breeze. We were met at the port by the captain and his brother, our guide for the day. They were very friendly and personable, exactly the kind of tour my family likes to take. From the moment we started the tour it was awesome...we drove to a botanical garden and got to see a demonstration of the Batik process of dyeing cloth...I also purchased a wonderful souvenir Batik bag filled with local rums for very cheap:)) We then proceeded to the rainforest for our hike...we had been on an awesome jungle hike in Belize and were hoping that this one would compare. It was absolutely amazing!! Our guide was very knowledgeable and let us taste various things (which we couldn't do much of in Belize)...we even surprised him by tasting the termites, because we HAD been allowed to do that in Belize and we wondered if they were the same..yep, they do...very minty:) This part of the tour was my favorite...exploring the jungle with our amazing guide and the happy couple from the UK (that we probably scared by eating bugs) the weather was perfect and it was sooo beautiful!! Next we had some refreshing beers and soda and we drove to a beautiful lookout point for lunch. The food was delicious and the view was spectacular!! There were some donkeys roaming nearby and because we live on a farm and have a donkey we were pretty happy to spend some time with them. After lunch we went to a very nice beach and snorkeled for a bit...there was a beautiful little lagoon that had pelicans diving for fish(got some great videos of this) and there was amazing sea life all along the edges that required no snorkel...I got an awesome video of an eel coming out of his cave! Sadly our tour was over and we headed back to port....Captain even called to check in on us and make sure we had a good time, we did...we were in good hands! I highly recommend this tour if you visit St. Kitts ...it's a great way to explore the beauty of this island, and Captain Sunshine is the best!!!!
