My first and only experience at Ciaos in Frigate Bay: Went for a birthday celebration with a friend and a large group of people. We had made reservations so they knew to expect a large group. We arrive at 6pm for our reservation are seated promptly the manager comes over to tell us we get a discount and that is we are dissatisfied with anything to please let her know. We all look at the menu and are ready to order but wait a good 15 minutes before anyone comes to take an order. After waiting 45 minutes the manager comes over and informs me they do not have what I ordered. This is common here but 45 minutes to let you know you have to re order is VERY bad. Quickly pick a new item, wait another 30 minutes. It is now close to 8pm two hours since we entered the restaurant and we were finally being served our dinner. The Birthday girl does not get her meal, and when they finally do bring it out it is NOT what she ordered. Some of the other meals are very skimpy and not well seasoned, so complaints were made in a nice manner. The manager who told us if we were not satisfied to tell her gets an attitude with us says we did not wait that long for our food and that she is going to report us, what for I have no idea. She then comes down to the other end of the table and talks badly about the other people who complained, we all came together, don’t talk badly about people I came to dinner with to me. The wait staff was very nice and apologetic something the manager never once did say that she was sorry and ask how to fix the problem, instead she said “we have never had a complaint” to which our waitress said behind her back, actually this happens all the time. After a 3 hour dinner that was very simple food that you could make at home for high prices, that did have good service but poor manager I will not be returning to Ciaos.

When we travel we always make sure to get to know the locals as much as we can. Spending time with people who have lived locally only enhances our travels and changes a mere vacation into something much greater.
We decided to eat at this Italian restaurant last minute because of its close proximity to the Marriott on our first evening. We walked in without reservations and were seated right away at a table outside. We were delighted by the food. Several of us had the Lobster Ravioli and it was incredible, albeit, a tad bit rich and maybe better shared as an appetizer versus a entree but very delicious. Overall the food was good, but what really enhanced our meal was the owner of this establishment. She went out of her way to make sure we each had exactly what we wanted. Even suggesting several changes to the menu to accommodate certain diets, etc. If you don't see anything you like on the menu or want to change something simply ask and she will make it exactly the way you want. She spent so much time with us telling her life story of how she ended up on St Kitts running an Italian Restaurant. She joked about the service and how hard it is to make everyone happy in such a laid back environment. By the way, don't be annoyed with the reviews about service. This is what you come to expect in an island like St Kitts. Its ok to take 2-3 hours for dinner with friends. There is no rush!

We ended our evening with some incredible dessert and some Lemoncello the owner shared with us. We had a really great time. It meant a lot to us all that the owner went out of her way to make this meal rememberable.

My husband and I arrived for a planned relaxing dinner. The owner was charming and attentive and the waitstaff were top notch. Both our meals were delicious and we would go back. Listen to the description of he menu items and if it is recommended to order something a certain way, try it! We had a great experience!

They were gracious to stay late as we arrived right prior to closing but allowed all the time we needed.

Food was good, but terrible service - waited for parts of the meal, water refills, and when asked if we wanted more bread by the poor owner and said yes, only 20 minutes later. Not too crowded though...
