We just returned from a cruise on the Carnival Victory and this was one of our favorite excusions. We're not beach/snorkling types and always look for a tour that gives us a chance to see the local countryside so this was perfect. Yes, the train went through some not so nice areas but all trains do that. This was an experience that allowed you to see both the beautiful ocean views, sugar cane fields or remnants, little villages and local folks. The morning tour is a little early for rum punch but if you're an adult you know whether you should drink that "leaded or unleaded" at that time of the day. Many of the snorkeling tours had been cancelled, possibly due to Tropical Storm Raphael's recent passing. Our sail portion had us a little apprehensive, or at least hubby was since he's gotten sea sick before on rough seas. But once he was standing up and looking forward so he could anticipate the waves, he managed to make it through like a champ. The size of the cat (62' x 38') also helped out. Lunch (tasty chicken sandwich, chips and banana nut bread) and drinks (rum punch, fruit punch, beer, soda) were included and tasted great with the sea breeze in our hair. This was a great tour and we'd definitely do it again.
