This is a neat beach with some black sand to make it interesting! The beach is split into 2 sections, one to swim and one to snorkel. It also has a neat raft. Swimming was great. Snorkeling was good for beginners, tolerable for experienced snorkelers. It's not that you can't see marine lift. it's more that it is so sparse, and not much coral. (We regularly snorkel in Bonaire which has fantastic marine life.) Having said that, we saw a spotted moray eel, octopus, the usual Caribbean fish including glassy sweepers (my fav) and squid. The waters had good visibility and I got a couple of neat pictures with my underwater camera. It is definitely worth the trip - have lunch at the Shipwreck for fun. See the monkeys. There is a toilet with running water, sink with soap, and a freshwater rinse shower too. We went twice during our week-long visit.
