“Swimming & Snorkeling”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2013

This is a neat beach with some black sand to make it interesting! The beach is split into 2 sections, one to swim and one to snorkel. It also has a neat raft. Swimming was great. Snorkeling was good for beginners, tolerable for experienced snorkelers. It's not that you can't see marine lift. it's more that it is so sparse, and not much coral. (We regularly snorkel in Bonaire which has fantastic marine life.) Having said that, we saw a spotted moray eel, octopus, the usual Caribbean fish including glassy sweepers (my fav) and squid. The waters had good visibility and I got a couple of neat pictures with my underwater camera. It is definitely worth the trip - have lunch at the Shipwreck for fun. See the monkeys. There is a toilet with running water, sink with soap, and a freshwater rinse shower too. We went twice during our week-long visit.

“Top notch relaxing beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 20, 2013

We were looking for a beach to hang at while on St Kitts and this was the one we picked

The beach has some black sand which was very hot but we were able to rent covered chairs/lounges for $5 each and it was only $4 taxi per person to get there

The water was great some non-sticky seaweed floating around but this is where lots of the kids from the vet school come. We had a blast
It was so very relaxing you felt you were in Hawaii with the vegetation laden hills and such

Monkeys and Mongoose came down from the hills to pay a visit

The food at a shack called Shipwrecked was great. The jerk chicken and the chicken tacos were scrumptious

We would go back again tomorrow if we could. You will not be disappointed

“Fabulous Spot”

Loved the quiet of the beach, the clear water and the feeling of safety. Easy access to clean restrooms and food. One of our favorite beaches this year.

“Island beach paradise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2013

Spent a full day at this beach and had a great time. It has a nice casual outdoor bar and grill which was very close to the beach. The sandwiches and drinks were good and reasonably priced. No charge for use of beach chairs which is not the case at Frigate bay beach. I also really appreciated the simple wooden drink holders by the beach chairs which kept drinks out of the sand. I also liked the hooks on the umbrella stands which allowed you to hang up beach bags out of sand. Lots of med students and vet students. Nice low key crowd. Incredibly they had very decent restrooms and changing area. Going into the water was rough. It was ver rocky and not very easy on the feet.

“Great Beach to go to from the Cruiseship”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2013

Loved Shipwreck bar and grill and beach club. Caribbean side. Not nearly as rough. Very Nice Beach. $4 p/person cab ride. $5 hamburger, $6 pina colada. Excellent value and most excellent view of the Nevis volcano to your left. Paid $10 for 2 chairs and an umbrella. Try and do that elsewhere in the Caribbean.
