“Wonderful spot”
Reviewed March 16, 2014

Travelling to Black rocks one sees the richness of the greenery of the island as well as the volcano. When you arrive at Black Rocks and look over the cliff the view is simply spectacular, not only in seeing the black rocks and the waves crashing against them but also the fact that on such a clear day looking over the Atlantic Ocean you can see other islands in the distance. I would recommend a visit.

“Very classical point of view.”
Reviewed March 10, 2014

It is the only place to reach the sea along the northern coast of the island so most of tourist stop there. But this point of view is absolutely not scenic. A classical one as you can see anywhere.

“Great photo op”

Stopped as part of a tour. Good cheap souvenirs and a great view. Worth the stop. Vendors aren't aggressive and will haggle.

“Hard to find but nice to see.”
Reviewed March 9, 2014

We had a hard time finding this attraction, there was only a small sign at the turn in the road that is very easy to miss. But the rocks themselves are beautiful and worth the effort. There are some shacks that sell food and items to tourists, but if you visit when there are no cruise ships in town, they are not open. We were happy about that, we had the place to ourselves.

“Photo-Op”
Reviewed February 7, 2014

Land based at Ottley's Plantation Inn, we knew that a great way to enjoy St Kitts was to hire a taxi for a tour...and one of their stops was at Black Rocks.

If you think this will rank up there with the Grand Canyon and such, you will be disappointed. However, the view along the coast line and lava rocks at the base of the cliff is a nice sight.

We were one of two taxis there at the time, so was nice and peaceful. There are a few small shacks lined up at which one can purchase beverages and locally made jewerly...no pressure at all, my wife ended up purchasing a rather attractive necklace ($15) and bracelet ($5). Was interesting the note that the polished lava stones are magnetic.

So, this definitely is not a spot which would warrant a specific visit on its own....but it's just off the St. Kitts ring road, easy to access, and if you do take a tour, would be certain to ask to have a look here.
