If you like forts, history, and breathtaking scenery, you have got to see this place. It is for kids and adults although the ramp up to the upper levels is a little challenging, but well worth it. The fort is large and set on a very large, high bluff with stunning vistas of the Caribbean and mountains all around. The overall structure has been lovingly restored and is extremely impressive. There is still work in progress, mostly in the interior areas, and does not detract at all from your visit. Most old forts have a few original cannons in place. Brimstone has so many cannons that some are half buried in the ground as posts to protect the stonework at the fort gates. You can see this wonderful site in 30 to 40 minutes but if you are a history buff, the visit is worth a whole day. The younger kids really seem to like this place as well. Do carry water as it is dry at the top of the fort. We did miss the monkeys on the drive up to the fort but be on the lookout for them as I have seen pictures of them. A must see.
