“Excellent home cooking”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2012

A very down to earth converted house on Cayman Brac with a sime menu blackboard outside. I tried the fried kingfish which is much enlived by the local chili sauce. The rice and beans was delicious though the plantain was a bit dry. Not a gourmet meal but an excellent taste of the local cooking.

This restuarant serves local dishes- I know what the local dishes should taste like but they have never come close. Never enjoyed a meal here and i have opted not to return.

“Ordinary and unimaginative”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2011

The portions were large, but the food was rather ordinary and unimaginative home cooking. Our grilled king fish was dry and tasteless. The vegetables tasted like they came out of a package. The rice was the best part of the meal. All the food, including the beverages that were offered, was blah. However, the restaurant is cute and has a very homey feel to it.

“Loved the food, but with the down turn of the economy, will they survive?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2011

We went to Aunt Sha's on recommendations from many forums. The sad part is we didn't need a reservation for Friday night. The great part was once they realized they had customers we were served a wonderful meal. We both ordered the Cayman style fish with rice. My husband has some dietary restrictions and they very nicely said they could work with them and did. The fish came and it was excellent. The rice was OK but we were glad we had a touch of the island with some fried plantians. I really wanted beans and rice but they didn't ahve any that night.

They no longer carry alcohol I'm sure this is due to the lack of customers. .

So, out of all the restaurants on Brac, this is by far the best, so please visit Aunt Sha's so they can stay in business and get back up to the wonderful place it used to be.
