Awel-y-mor is a small but neat and tidy and very-well located bungalow where we had a very nice relaxed and leisurely stay. The bungalow has all amenities, there are nice views out to sea, and this is a really good base for a holiday in the Llyn. Aberdaron village is surprisingly busy, and you will need to book if you intend to eat out there. The two pubs, the chip shop, the cafe, the bakery and the Spar are all excellent - the Ty Newydd is probably best for eating out, by a small margin, and the fish and chips from the chip shop are about the best we’ve ever had! The beaches to south and north are all very nice - Porthor/ Whistling Sands being the best for just lazing on the beach; but all the others are great for walking as of course is the coastal path. Other highlights for us this time were the trip to Caernarfon (about one hour), Plas-yn-rhiw (National Trust) and the Plas Glan-y-weddw gallery at Llanbedrog (fabulous cream teas!) We hope to be back next year!=
Lovely cottage, in a great location with the most amazing views. The cottage was a good size with a wonderful garden over looking the bay, very well equipped with everything we could have asked for including sun loungers and a cosy sun house, perfect for having a glass of wine taking in the wonder view. Would definitely recommend the cottage which is a couple of minutes walk to the beach and 2 excellent pubs.
