Greenacres Holiday Park - Haven

Stayed here 4-7 April and although we had already booked a prestige van we were delighted on check-in to have been upgraded to a privilege! What an absolutely stunning van too, with an ensuite and a dishwasher! We had rung beforehand and requested to be in a quiet part, well away from the facilities and we were delighted to find we were down on Sandy Lane - bliss. The beach access was just up from us but we weren't bothered by anyone coming or going at all. Lovely views of the mountains and the beach is just beautiful, miles of sand in both directions.
The check-in staff were so friendly, no queuing at all. Beth-ann was so lovely and a genuinely lovely person. She remembered us every time we walked past and always shouted a cheery hello and an enquiry about whether we were having fun.
We didn't purchase the park passes for the adults as it is not our cup of tea, but we did buy them for our teenagers so they could use the pool. In fairness on arrival the security chap did let the 4 of us go up for a look around as I wanted to see the pool for myself before letting our youngsters use it. We didn't realise there was a huge arcade there, but it is passed the security area so you will need to buy passes to use it. Also the restaurant is in that area too, which I thought was strange as it immediately prevented us from eating there during our stay, so we went out and spent our money elsewhere. It wasn't a big deal but it was raining most of the time we were there and it may have been that we didn't want to go out.
We did have fish and chips from the onsite place called 'Cooks' - it was delicious. Yes it was overpriced but the chips were some of the best we have ever had. The chap did miss part of my order off though and luckily I realised before trekking back to the van, otherwise hubby would have had half his tea missing!
The park itself is large, exceptionally clean and seems very well laid out. It was nowhere near full during our trip and I can imagine it gets a lot noisier in high season but it was great when we were there. The on site shop was extremely well stocked but very overpriced. The young lady who works in there was always chatty and cheerful when we went in. There is an aldi and a lidl in Porthmadog though if you don't want to pay the prices.
We would definitely go here again, but as its a long drive for us (4hrs) we would like to stay longer next time.
All in all a great trip where we got to relax in luxury in a lovely setting with friendly staff.
Would we return - definitely, already planning for later in the year!

Room Tip: we have been rather spoiled now being upgraded but I would now always pay for that!

We've been to Hafan y Moor just 30 mins up the road a number of times and also Lakeland prior to our trip to Greenacres and this is by far the best site. The mountain views and beach are amazing and the staff are excellent. We also enjoyed the kids shows at night...something we wouldn't normally do but at Greenacres the standard is above and beyond the other sites we've visited with an excellent team led by a lovely guy who reminds us of James Cordon. My 3 year old loved it and we'll return every year for a short break.

I've been caravan holidaying with my daughter for 13 years now and we have visited both Haven and Park Resort caravan sites twice a year. I can honestly say this park was the most beautiful, clean, the receptionists were extremely friendly and were actually interested in making sure you had all the info you needed instead of just saying the script! Lucy was very helpful with things to do. Its a bit of a trek (6 hour drive) so wouldn't recommend for a long weekend which is what we did. Would def go back for a week or two. Wales is beautiful and even the drive into the caravan park was pretty. We were extremely lucky that we got upgraded (we had booked a Luxury on a Sun Holiday for £9.50) but we got a further upgrade to an 8 berth so there was heating in all the rooms. We stayed in Kingfisher and I think it belonged to someone who rented it out as there was leads for playstation/xbox and even the beds were comfortable. Staff entertainers were great and friendly. The supermarket on site is expensive but there is Tesco, Lidl and Aldi a short drive away.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Kingfisher area which was lovely and literally a couple of minutes walk either to t...

The caravan we hired was a Prestige grade and almost new, it was clean and tidy. Whilst the weather was very cold the caravan was very warm as it had a very good central heating system. The facilities on the site were of the usual Haven standard and great for the family. The park is very clean and staff are helpful. It's situation is very good if you want to visit the sights of North Wales and most are within easy reach on good roads Snowdon is only 23 miles away . Well worth a visit and no reason not to go back.

Room Tip: If you are going very early or late in the season when the weather is going to be cold pay the extra...

We stayed in a caravan that was near to the beach, the views of the surrounding mountains were fantastic. Would recommend upgrading as the caravan that we stayed in (platinum) was very nice, even had an en suite!
The park itself, is very clean & tidy, however a few more bins dotted around would have been nice. We didn’t actually use many of the facilities (apart from the fish & chip shop, which were nice & a decent price) as we used the park as a base to go out & explore, for which it is conveniently located, would recommend visiting Port Merion.

We stayed at this Haven park in May 2013 on a Sun £9.50 Holiday. Caravan was lovely, booked for 4 people and got an 8 berth caravan of a high standard which we were allowed to have our dog in. The location is perfect with direct access onto the beach, to go anywhere else though you will need a car. We used the restaurant one evening and although it was nice food, we felt it was overpriced for the portions we got and cooked for ourselves the rest of the week. Entertainment was standard for a holiday park, and pool was good however disappointed there was no time dedicated to people who wanted to swim. Overall, very pleased and have booked to go again on this years Sun £9.50 Holidays.

Room Tip: We had a standard caravan and found it to be excellent, no need to upgrade.
