Little Cayman truly feels like you are off the grid ~ and I do mean off the grid. Tucked away in the middle of paradise! We stayed at Little Cayman Beach Resort ~ the rooms were comfortable, the scuba diving was excellent with our awesome divemaster Dottie, the entire staff (which actually feels more like your long lost friends) was friendly and welcoming, the food... oh the food... was superb! Be prepared to walk away stuffed especially at lunch and dinner (I am not a big fan of breakfast ~ although they did have a lot to choose from). Very fresh and diverse! We really felt like we had it all here and we came back fully relaxed and refreshed! Great vacation if you are looking to just chill out, go diving, relax with friends at the poolside bar, eat great food, and swing in the hammocks by the ocean!!!! Tips: We, as well as others, brought in liquor from the duty free shops at the airport... they didn't seem to have a problem with that at all ~ Can't tell you how many plain, old cokes we bought to put with our Jack Daniels. There is actually great WiFi connections all around the resort (granted the resort is not that big). But because they did have so many little hot spots set up it was super easy to connect to check email, facebook, etc. You can rent bikes from the front desk ~ we did this one day and just took a bike ride all over the island. You can't get lost there and it was really cool to see just how remote you really are! We would definitely recommend this place!!! Go and relax!!!!

We stayed here in 2012 when a hurrican came too close for comfort. Despite the interuption in our diving, the staff did everything they could to keep us well fed, comfortable and happy. Turned out to be a bit of a false alarm, and we got in one more dive before leaving. The food is great, the dive masters are wonderful, and everyone there makes it a great destination.

You get what you pay for. Great staff, great location, great food. If you're into scuba diving, no need to go anywhere else. Valet diving. All you needs are met within 300 feet. Get on the boat and dive.

Just returned from a week at LCBR and all I can say is "Wow." The resort had clean, upscale rooms, good air conditioning, and wonderful staff. The food was very good, and the morning porridge, evening soups, and all the desserts were outstanding. The omelets were a tad salty, but that is a tiny issue. The pool, hammocks, hot tub, and spa were really nice. This is primarily a dive resort, but it is an outstanding one. We did 3 dive a day, not including the night dives available. We had Dottie and Sharon on the Cayman Sister and they were outstanding. Very helpful for newbies and experienced divers alike, they gave great suggestions and encouragement, and can find the best assortment of sea creatures for our observation. The Reef Divers diving operation is on-site and had everything we needed when personal equipment failed. The staff at the resort was always gracious and helpful. I was especially appreciative of them after my dive flashlight exploded all over the room! They cleaned it up promptly and well, with nary a word about the mess. The bar staff was friendly and it was a great place to relax after diving. The night time action at the bar wasn't very noisy, even on karaoke night, and my room was right across from the bar. There was an occasional slight odor from the pond across the road due to a lack of rain recently, but it wasn't bad or often. I can't say enough about the great diving and the dive staff that made it that way for us. They were so helpful and patient. They made my dives fun and exciting! And also helped us in/out of the water and took care of tank changes. I will definitely be back!

Room Tip: For a little more quiet, choose a ocean front rather than a pool side room.

I met friends at The Little Cayman Beach Resort and just highly recommend it for great service, Lovely grounds, beach view excellent (and early sunrise walks perfect as the man of war (frigate) birds woke up too!),....our 3 boat dives were many of my best dives yet in over 30 years of scuba dives (with very helpful, fun informative and skilled crew).
The rooms are very nice for divers (we are rarely in them...so do not even know if tv worked.)..am sure it did and rooms spotlessly ready upon our returns from dives. The pool, the poolside bar very good (for medicinal purposes)...
I seem to attract the odd small jelly fish and no exception here. (The staff has vinegar ready, to spray, so I felt no real pain but did smell like a salad!
The 3 meals daily were spiced with island style nutmeg, hot peppers, and such but many delicious "American" style dishes on the buffet guaranteeing from vegetarians to hungry hippos no one left unsatisfied....great deserts too.
I highly recommend divers to visit! (And non divers with good books)...

Room Tip: Request bottom floor as are no lifts, if needed. Only 2 floors.

Just returned yesterday from a one week stay at the resort and can't say enough good things about them. The service and the staff were amazing, and the food was amazing+. I'm a vegetarian and let them know about it before the trip, and they always had extra vegetarian choices for me.

As a few other reviewers mentioned, there isn't much to do on the island except dive and relax, and both were excellent. Great wifi availability is a plus, because what fun is it being on vacation when you can't taunt your friends back home with emails and pictures of the great time you are having?

Reef Divers diving operation is right on the property, and they spoil you rotten by taking care of all of your gear, changing tanks, putting your gear on before each dive and taking it off after each dive. Almost like having a "scuba butler"! There was a problem with the engines on the first dive boat we were on (Twin Sister) and almost have the people on the boat were too sick from the diesel fumes and carbon monoxide to do more than the first dive, but they arranged another boat for the third day, and it was perfect after that. These boats are in service constantly, so I understand that getting maintenance done is difficult. The dive operation is safe, well run and well staffed.

There was one minor problem at check in when my wife and I found out that we were booked into a room with double beds instead of a king. The desk receptionist told me that you have to request that ahead of time, but that seemed odd to me, and I know that there were many in our large group who did not, but were automatically given a room with a king bed. They told us they would switch us a soon as one was available, but never did. I mention this not because it was such a big deal that I want to harp on, but more for information for future guests. It was a relatively minor issue in an otherwise excellent experience.

We would stay here again with no hesitation!

Room Tip: Probably would not hurt to request a king bed if you prefer that to two double beds.
