“May have great snorkeling but ...”
Reviewed February 5, 2014

On our day trip to Little Cayman we drove out to Point of Sand and simply turned back. Very much not in keeping with what the photos portrayed. Perhaps we were there on a bad day, as there was a lot of debris washed-up on the beach. We did not snorkel here, so that may be fine in this location; however, we did not speak with any locals who recommended this area as a great snorkeling spot. In fact, everyone suggested spots on the opposite side of the island. We went, instead, to Jackson Hole to snorkel and were not disappointed with either the beach area or the snorkeling experience.

“Beautful beach, OK snorkeling”
Reviewed January 14, 2014

Has a shady shelter, beautiful, deserted. And we were there during the busiest week of the year between Christmas and New Year's. Get advice on the currents before you go out, important. Did fine knowing that.

“Remote and peaceful”
Reviewed November 16, 2013 via mobile

Lovely beach and jetty. Easier to get into the water here than elsewhere as there's less turtle grass. Snorkelling is disappointing if you're a diver, probably ok otherwise. Fins are a big benefit as the currents can be strong.
There's a little shelter with a couple of picnic benches and lounges, otherwise no facilities or shops near.

“remote perfection”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

Point of Sand is a beautiful soft sand beach at the end of the island - no facilities, but worth the visit!

“Lovely snorkel and swim here”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

We were touring the island and stopped for a swim. Then later we went back for a snorkel and saw 2 eels. You can actually see Cayman Brac from here. There are no chairs or conveniences here. We were the only people on the beach.
