At least when we were there. Did not see much of anything, but it was a good break from the walk. Don't have to worry about noise, but you don't worry about it anyway.

Not too crowded, loved bit of shade of pine trees ocean side...the water perfect!
Lots of parking, no loud music allowed!

Nice, quiet stretch of beach, with excellent snorkeling a few hundred yards out from shore. Go straight out from the northern end of the Governor's property (near the "No Loud Music" signs). Nice variety of fish and sea turtles; the fish are extremely friendly and swim right up to your face, something I haven't experienced in my other snorkeling ventures.

There is a reef just about 100 feet offshore. We spent hours out there snorkeling. Just head straight out from the furthest southern point of the picket fence outside of the Governor's house.

Governors Beach is one of the best parts of Seven mile beach, it is quieter and good parking. The beach is clean and tidy and just over the road from some shops and coffee houses.
