We stayed at South Bay Beach Club Unit # 14 for our family vacation and we are so glad we did!! The management team is fantastic-thanks Ernie and Maggie for a great stay. They were so helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Our condo was very spacious and a great location for our family of 8. We loved that we could view the sunsets from our balcony, play board games at the large dining room table, or listen to the waves lull us to sleep at night.

We just returned from South Bay Beach Club and couldn't have picked a better place to stay! We stayed at the Westin our other two visits to Cayman and while the beach there is huge, we loved the SBBC. We stayed with our two daughters in Villa #5 and it was perfect. The website photos are accurate, however it is even more beautiful in person! It was great having a kitchen to prepare breakfast, lunch, etc. and even bought fresh fish one night and grilled it by the pool. There are also restaurants and stores within walking distance. We were worried about the beach being crowded or too small, rocky, etc as we had been warned about places to the south suffering erosion, but it was perfect! They only set up 2 rows of lounge chairs on the bottom level (two level beach) but there was plenty of room for 4 rows. We never had a problem getting lounge chairs or umbrellas. It was clean and not crowded and perfect for snorkeling as well. The Marriott next door was crowded, as was the little area next to SBBC where the Comfort Suites has a little spot. We walked down the beach to the Westin (it seemed crowded) and checked out all the other places we had looked at online and felt great that we had found the perfect place! Maggie and Ernie were great and so was Ena our housekeeper! We can't wait to go back! Almost want to keep this place a secret!

Room Tip: 2 bedroom direct access to beach.

Seriously the photos do not really do this place justice. We stayed in the #4 villa and It looks even better in person than in the photos. It was a 2 bedroom 2 bath with a screened in porch with direct beach access. You really walk out the door and down a couple of steps then take about 5 steps through grass then you are on the sandy beach. They have everything in the condo you could need (except a baking pan for some reason). The beds were very comfortable as well as the pillows. The villa was decorated so nicely it really felt like you were at home, but with a killer view of the ocean. We were able to take a bus anywhere we needed to go and found some really great restaurants very nearby.

We did have a few things that were a little annoying during our stay but really nothing the management at SBBC could do about it. There was seaweed all over the beach from a recent storm. The condo hired men to clean it up and they were out there all day with shovels and rakes taking wheelbarrows loads to the dumpster. This went on for 2 days then on the third day and final day of our stay, the Marriott brought in bulldozers and dump trucks that were really annoying. The dump trucks got there early in the morning and we were awaken by the sound of their backup alarm going off as they were backing down the driveway to the beach. The bulldozer drivers kept driving back and forth in front of us as we tried to enjoy a day on the beach. Not as relaxing as we had hoped our trip would be and really pretty disappointing.

We are already planning our 2nd trip to the condo next year, we will just check before arriving to make sure no seaweed is on the beach. Can't think of anywhere else we would like to stay on the island. I have previously stayed twice at the Westin and there is no comparison. Will never go back to the hotels!!

Room Tip: Any room in this complex will be an excellent choice!

We traveled with another couple and stayed in unit 533 on the fifth floor. The unit is well appointed and very comfortable with daily maid service every day except Sunday. This is a three bedroom unit with one king bedroom, one queen bedroom, and one bedroom with two twins. If you are traveling with more than two couples the fact that the unit only has two baths could be inconvenient but it was perfect for us. There is a huge screened in balcony under a roof that connects to another huge outside open balcony. Great views of the beach and ocean from both balconies as well as from the sitting room.
These condos are in a perfect location on 7 mile beach with great beach access and a number of eating places near by. If you prefer to eat in the condo is equiped with everything you need for food preperation. The snorkeling directly off the beach here has to be the best in Grand Cayman. There are artificial reef balls situated in waste deep water right off the beach as well as a natural reef just a few yards out past the reef balls. We saw a huge variety of fish in all colors and sizes and this was a real highlight of our vacation. Be sure to stop buy the grocery and pick up a large bag of frozen peas. Throw some peas in the water and you will be surrounded by fish. The staff is very friendly and helpful and do a good job of looking after all of the guests. This place is definetely on our list for a repeat visit next year!

My wife and I rented a three bedroom unit (#37) with our two adult children (each brought a friend). The pictures very accurately show how beautiful and open the unit is. The sixth floor view is spectacular any time of the day. There was plenty of room for six adults, the beach was not crowded at all, there are several great restaurants and a grocery store nearby. Additionally, there is great snorkeling right off the beach.

The staff is also very friendly led by property manager Ernie, who checked on us a few times to make sure that everything was OK. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when we return to Grand Cayman.

Room Tip: #37 has a huge balcony with a large dining table and a sitting area with access from the family room...

From the moment we arrived we knew we chose a winner. The staff is truly amazing. Maggie, Ernie and Ena couldn't do enough to make our trip memorable. The resort is first class not to mention we were steps away from the most beautiful water. My sisters and I have traveled to many resorts but now we cannot wait to return next year.

My family and I just got back from our second stay at South Bay Beach Club and had just as great a time as we did the first time around. We stayed in unit #3, a spacious 2 bedroom unit on the first floor with direct access to the beach (literally steps away from the ocean). We spent our days snorkeling around the man-made reef and the natural reef which both can be found right in front of South Bay. Perfect beach with the sand raked every morning and of course the crystal clear water is great.

Something has to be said about the staff at South Bay. Ernie and Maggie were terrific and always willing to do anything to make our stay perfect. Maid service was also great - we always had fresh towels and linens.

South Bay Beach Club's location is within walking distance to numerous restaurants and shopping. A rental car isn't even needed unless you are planning a trip to West Bay or Georgetown.

All the conveniences you would expect are also included like free wi-fi, fitness center, outdoor grill, and pool.

No doubt that we will be staying at the South Bay Beach Club for years to come!
