“Wow this place is GREAT!"”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2012

My friends and I heard about this new place in Cayman called Duke's Seafood and Rib Shack. Some people were talking about how good the seafood and drinks were. So we decided to give it a go. The place has a great Island feel, very clean, good music, and has a great bar.
When we first got there we were great by super friendly guys. We later found out they were the owners. So nice to see the owners on the floor partaking in the success of their business. We were seated in Kendra's section who was so friendly and her service was quick and consistent.
The menu is WOW. There's no place in Cayman with such a good selection of seafood and other things to choose from. We chose the Crappy Fries (Seafood version of Poutine), the mussels, and the Crap Dip. All were delicious! For mains we had a Steampot, a Steak, Fish and Chips, and the BBQ Spare Ribs. WHoa! Seriously good, this place is gonna do well.
The prices are great. Couldn't believe how good the wine is and for such a low price. Just wanna say>>>"Great Job you guys!" This place is Rockin'! We will be back and can tell how well it's doing by the packed out place. Even if I wasn't hungry I would come just hang out at the bar for a drink. Bartenders look very fun and friendly! Good JOB!!

“Best new thing to hit Grand Cayman in months...maybe longer...”

My wife and I have now been to Duke's three times, the first two for lunch, the third for dinner tonight. All three times have been excellent!!! This place has a "Caribbean meets New Orleans" vibe. The good stuff includes outstanding po'boy sandwiches (we tried the crabcake and the fried oyster), macaroni and cheese with lobster (appetizer portion is only $7), and the steampots. The steampots are a cross between a New England clambake and a San Francisco cioppino. There are a half a dozen to choose from with lobster, stone crab, muscles, andouille sausage, some steampots are cooked in tomato sauce, some in Caybrew (most excellent beer in the world), and white wine. We tried the "Caybrew" and the "Hell" (spicy tomato sauce). Both were delicious. The staff is very warm and accommodating and ensures that everything is perfect. The only downside is that the restaurant is on the opposite side of busy West Bay Road from Public Beach, so there isn't any view but then there doesn't need one cause you will be too busy enjoying the great food and drink.
