“Parting breakfast”
Reviewed February 2, 2014

We stopped at cimboco on our way to the airport to come home. Although in a sad mood the breakfast/brunch we had was very good. Hubby had the chicken jerk frittata and while the degree so spice was a bit of a surprise he ate it right up nd it held him until we were able to eat again at the phila airport. The slices of bread for the whole wheat bread were ginormous and home made and good! Will DEFINATELY plan on returning when we next visit Cayman.

“Walking distance from Marriott, great breakfast ”
Reviewed January 31, 2014 via mobile

We read a lot of good reviews and decided to give it a chance for breakfast.

I had breakfast pizza with bacon and tomato and it was excellent, I ate too much because I enjoyed it that much. My son had french toast sticks and gobbled them down. My wife had some egg on flatbread entree (sorry don't know the name) and she too thought it was excellent.

Service was great and friendly and the prices are below what I call "normal" Cayman prices so 3 full breakfasts with lemonade, coffee, and tip was $35 which is a steal on this island.

Oh during the week at the time of this review from 9 to 11 they have a $5 breakfast which is traditional American with 2 eggs, bacon, toast, and potatoes. Toss in coffee for 99 cents and that is the best tasting deal on the island.

“Awesome food, made from scratch, good prices”
Reviewed January 27, 2014

We only wish we discovered this restaurant earlier in our trip. Everything was made from scratch, including all of the breads and baked goods. Wood fired oven for pizzas, open kitchen where you can watch the foods being prepared in skillets on open flames. Absolutely delicious and well priced. We went there for dinner and breakfast and if we had known about it earlier, we would have made it our second home, it was that good!

“Yummy!”
Reviewed January 26, 2014

For our first meal at the Caymans we decided on Cimboco which was just a short walk from our hotel. We got the Fire Roasted Jerk Pork BLT and the Caribbean Fire Roasted Shrimp. The Jerk Pork BLT was served on Savory Coconut Focaccia with Applewood Smoked Bacon, Swiss Cheese, Basil Mayo & Tomato Jam. It was super tasty and the coconut bread was a nice change of pace. It was slightly dry, but a bit of Sriracha added to each bite did the trick. The shrimp on the menu stated that it was wrapped in spinach and applewood smoked bacon, however there was no spinach to be found. It was still seasoned nicely and the bacon added some crispiness to it as well. The corncake was on the dry side however, and there was no dipping sauce to be found as stated on the menu.

Service was nice and quick and the food was great for our first meal on the island. We were there between lunch and dinner hours so the restaurant was quite empty, but I am sure it gets more crowded during busier times.

“Great for Breakfast”
Reviewed January 23, 2014

Cimboco is literally across the street from the Marriott where my wife and I stayed. We had breakfast for all but our first morning. The ambiance was great, the service was excellent and even the price was good. We sat at the bar the first time and could see the food being prepared - the whole thing was lovely.
