Cimboco is off the beaten path...you'll find it behind a gas station in a small strip mall...easy to miss, but you'll be missing a real treat if you don't try them...they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner...great staff, wonderful at really reasonable prices. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed

Nice Atmosphere, good service and very good food. Clean, contemporary carribean décor with an open kitchen. Blackend Fish Sandwich was excellent. Will definitely eat here again!

We discovered Cimboco 4 years ago on our first vacation to seven mile beach. It was an easy walk from the Marriott. You can't beat the $5 CI value for 2 eggs, rosemary potatoes and toast with homemade apricot jam.
Add $.99 coffee and you have a teriffic breakfast in a colorfully decorated restaurant. The staff is friendly and we always enjoy seeing the female Irish Football player. It's quite a hike from the Ritz but we are never disappointed.

I hate to write this review because the staff at this restaurant was so friendly... maybe even a little too friendly (I'll get to this), but the food was just okay and was about $100 US for average food is a little too much - even in Cayman. I had the banana leaf roasted snapper. It was okay. I, amazingly, had better fish at Coconut Joe's (if you can believe that!). It just wasn't that great. My husband had a sandwich that was pretty good. But seriously $100 US for an entrée, a SANDWICH, 2 deserts and 3 drinks? Yikes.
Also, it was our last night on the island an we were visiting with our 9 month old daughter. She is adorable (what can I say, lol) and she tends to get a bit of attention when we go places. But the waiter stayed and hung out talking to us about his baby for the entire 20 minutes while we waited for our food. Granted, he was EXTREMELY nice, but it was just too long. We really didn't get to enjoy our last meal together. There are other places on the island to get more bang for your buck and to get more authentic island cuisine. I would suggest the Monday night Carribean BBQ buffet at Macabuca in West Bay (only $15 CI).
