“Not so Grand Cayman”
Reviewed January 13, 2014

People rave about this place but I think it is because they have to, to hide their gilt for paying outrageous prices for plates of undercooked vegetables. Grand Cayman has many great restaurants that are expensive, this one is just expensive. They do pork bellies very well but one dish does not make a menu for me. Go around the corner to Ortanique for a great menu. Sorry Michael's but expensive does not equal good.

“Good food, service and ambiance!”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

This restaurant is located within the Camana Bay complex, which is an upscale mall, well decorated (there for Christmas time). As for the restaurant itself, we ate outside, which I would recommend; had a great server, Prudence, who was very friendly, helpful and fun. We enjoyed all the food and the drinks as well. We would come back again, for sure.

“Good not great”

We had high expectations for this restaurant but just found it average. We had pig ears (good), deviled eggs (meh), roasted cauliflower (meh) Wahoo and Whole snapper were pretty tasty. Service was decent but not very friendly

“Horrible experience at michaels genuine”
Reviewed December 31, 2013

We were very disappointed in this restaurant. Our party of 11 waited 2 1/2 hrs for our food. They kept saying the food was coming soon but it was just a lie, also they were sold out of their two famous desserts after describing them to the kids to keep them distracted from the fact that they had to wait until after 10 pm to get their dinner. And then didn't have the desserts to serve them. The restaurant manager told us after the first hour that he would make sure things went smoothly and then we waited another hour an a half to be served. Do not go to this restaurant!!!! Very unprofessional and the food was very mediocre to boot!

“Just eh for the money”
Reviewed December 31, 2013

This restaurant is definitely not in my top five... or top ten... or top 100. The food was just okay as was the service. The menu was incredibly limited and small. But there is a nice selection of good beers and wines if you like that. When the food came out(after two hours) it was either overcooked or was just plain and unexciting. A very lack luster dinner for over a thousand USD.
