This property held all of its promises. There were absolutely no unpleasant surprises. Only sun, fun, sand and lots to do. A beautiful beach invited for a swim at any time of the day or night. The perfect recipe against jet lag. Snorkeling was great too. Try it at nighttime for animals you normally will not see during the day.
The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. We arrived rather late in the evening and although the office was closed somebody was waiting to give us the keys. There is a public bus we however rented a car for flexibility to get around the island. Unit 11 had all the amenities required and then some. We especially liked the ice maker for a pre-dinner beach drink. Perfectly furnished with excellent beds for a great sleep.
Given the opportunity we will definitely come again and recommend staying here to our friends.

My wife and I have made several trips from Arizona, USA to Discovery Point over the years - making trips in both August (slower season) and December. Discovery Point is in an excellent location...right on 7 mile beach, great swimming, snorkelling, and beach walking. Most of the dive shops (i.e Divers Down, Divetek) will pick up scuba divers right at the complex. Diving in Cayman more or less excellent - west wall, north wall, east wall, south wall - many to pick from - water temps 82-84F. Given location, suggest a car rental to get you to nearby stores...or runs to down town, etc. Staff at Discovery excellent - dependable, helpful, and responsive, and they respect the visitors desire to have a great vacation. Units can be on 1st, 2nd, 3rd floors - some might be slightly more updated than others - just ask when booking. Views are all pretty amazing....screened in porches provided. Great pool and jacuzzi as well.

Room Tip: 1st floor units might be easier with scuba gear, 3rd floor have better views to Georgetown or Lighthouse Point.

Went back to Discovery Point yet again (2nd time this year and my 4th time overall at DP) and it keeps getting better and better--though I don't really know how! The room was immaculate as always, the grounds were beautiful and the staff are nicer than nice! The location is great and everyone was so accommodating! We needed assistance getting all our luggage to the airport and they had one of their staff drive a separate vehicle to take our luggage. We would have had to rent a bigger car to transport it all (as we did when we arrived, not even thinking about asking them if they could assist us as most places never would!). I will be going back in a few months and would never stay anywhere else!

Room Tip: All the rooms I have stayed in are just beautiful!

We recently spent a week at The Discovery Point Club in West Bay/Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman. Many reviews will attest to the five star worthiness of the Cayman Islands, so I will focus my review on the property itself, which is equally worthy of five stars. The location is perfect. It is a mile or two west of the major resorts on Seven Mile Beach, so it is quiet, but you are not far from everything you need. There are 45 units and even though the resort was over 2/3 full, we never felt the beach was crowded – in fact, we wondered where everyone was most of the time! There are ample chairs, huts, umbrellas and palm trees, so you can get out of the sun when you want to. The pool is a good size and was always clean. The beach itself had a variety of sandy and rocky areas. You will want to make sure you have your snorkeling gear because there is plenty to see directly in front of the property, or walk a quarter mile west to Cemetery Beach, where it is truly amazing.

We stayed in Unit 12, which has two good size bedrooms (king and two twins), both with their own baths. I assume that all the units are of similar set up, although all are owned separately. The furniture and appliances were good quality, plus we had free Wi-Fi, cable TV and local telephone. The fridge had an icemaker that produced ice at a rate at which we never ran out, despite using it regularly for frozen cocktails. The fridge also produced filtered water, which tasted wonderful. The water on the island is fine to drink, but it is desalinated and we found that it still tastes a little like the ocean directly out of the tap. We made about half of our meals in the well stocked kitchen and either ate out or ordered in the rest of the time. The property has daily maid service. Everything was done perfectly and somehow timed so that we never actually saw the cleaning staff in our unit. We made use of the gas grills that are provided on the property. They were clean and worked well.

The staff in the office do an excellent job at keeping things running smoothly. They are knowledgeable about the island and can help make whatever sightseeing or restaurant reservations you need. It is best to rent a car, and they can arrange that for you, too.

All in all, we had a fantastic time at The Discovery Point Club and highly recommend it!

Room Tip: Unit 12 has two twin beds in the second bedroom - great for teenagers!

This year due to the renovation work at the Westin we decided to try a condo and after a recommendation from a local resident, we booked at DPC, I gave high mark to the hotel in my review but this complex should deserve more than 5 star. Since the check in and during the entire stay the staff was absolutely marvelous from the maid to the gardener friendly and always willing to help and with a very good knowledge of the local aspect of this wonderful island.
The property is located in the northern part of 7MB, the beach is pristine and well kept lots of cabana for shade, even if the condo is a full capacity you have so much space for yourselves, and this is for us is priceless, and I thought that the Westin beach was the best. The 2 bdr unit was clean and well maintained with all the necessary amenities, how wonderful is to have the possibility to cook if one night you do not feel like or have a barbeque on the beach with your friend (yes they do have a several barbeque grill)
Well done Mrs. Ann Marie & Mrs. Ollie and I am pretty sure I shall see you again this winter.
