We have been coming to Grand Cayman since 1985. We have stayed at alot of different places , The Avalon, Coralstone, Plantation Village, Comfort Suites, Holiday Inn, Westin, and Discovery Point is our favorite.. Since finding Discovery point 4 years ago, we feel that we have found the perfect place to stay. The price is right and the friendliness of the staff keep us coming back. The rooms are very well appointed and the grounds are immaculate. There are always fresh beach towels to be had and after returning from diving our room is always nicely made up. I like having a washer/dryer in the room and the kitchen has every thing you need. If not, just ask MS. Ollie or AnnRose and they will find it for you.We feel very welcomed and secure staying at DPC.There is a nice area for washing and hanging out your dive gear. We like to shore dive at Lighthouse point and Cobalt Coast and DPC is very convienent and close to these places. We don't have to fight the Georgetown, Cruise ship traffic. This year we stayed in #46 and I must tell you it was the best yet. TV in every room, and we were able to use the large TV in living room to watch the HD video we took while diving. They have one of those "junk" drawers that everyone has at home and it came in handy for nail files, sissors, scotch tape and nail polish remover. There are coolers you can use for picnics( we used it for our Margaritias at the pool), glassware for wine and for use around the pool. There is never a problem with finding a table, beach chair, unbrella, or cabana. We also enjoy how close it is to Fosters grocery store and eat in most of the time. The beach is beautiful and never crowded. It is very family friendly. I almost hesitate to leave a review because I want to keep this place all to myself. Our family loves it here.
Best place to eat: Macabuca at Crack Conch. Mum's Fish and Chips, outstanding. Also Tim-buc-to not much to look at but food is good and reasonably prices. Tempura fried Grouper. 1 plate will feed 2. DiveTech and Living the Dream divers excellent operations.

Room Tip: 3rd floor: quiet and best views. All rooms are ocean front and have great views.

We stayed in Unit 29 (ground floor) at Discovery Point Club on northern SMB from June 21-28, 2012 and I must stay, this was the best decision I could have made! We absolutely loved the unit -- it's location right near the beach and pool as well as its modern, comfortable decor and furnishings. Our family of 4 is not one for crowds and the DPC property itself was just perfect for us! Many times during our visit, there were only a few other folks on the beach or in the pool with us; it was like our own tropical paradise! We did get out in our rental car every day for a meal or site-seeing adventure, and we were just a couple of minutes from West Bay and Fosters, and just a little longer from the busy section of SMB and then Georgetown. No driving hassles at all! Pool area is great and we became friends with a few other families that were there - the kids of all ages got along fantastic. The grounds are beautifully manicured with so many flowers and trees in the front near the parking, and the beach area is kept very clean by the amazing staff. One staff member even climbed a coconut tree poolside and cut it open for my son and his new-found friends to have a taste. What fun! Being on the first floor, it was so wonderful to simply walk out of our beach-facing patio and be on the beach or pool side. No dunes to cross (like we often have to do along the Florida Panhandle) and no trouble finding a spot to sit along the beach or the pool - there are plenty of chairs as well as tikki huts for chillin' in the shade. Ollie was so helpful in the office; she gave us plenty of eating-out tips to eat like the locals do, and the staff also arranged our Sting Ray City tour and had Captain Marvin's pick us up at DPC. I can't say enough about how pleased we were with Discovery Point Club in general and Unit 29 in particular. This is the place to be if you want a beautiful property at a great beach location, away from the crowds of central SMB and Georgetown, and yet only a short drive away from dining and shopping. I highly recommend DPC!

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms have direct access to the beach and pool. Highly recommended.

We visited the Discovery Point Club in the fall and can't say enough about it. It was clean quiet and friendly. Awesome snorkeling just down the beach. I can't wait to go back.

This was our 6th stay at Discovery Point and as usual, it was perfect. This is where we dream of during the long Northeast winters and it never disappoints. Our unit is on the second floor with perfect views of the ocean and the sunset. It is beautifully furnished and very well equipped, The white sand beach has lots of huts and umbrellas for shade and the pool is pristine. Discovery Point is an exceptionally well maintained property and the management, Ollie and AnnRose, are always pleasant and helpful. We've enjoyed many great meals at restaurants they've suggested. It is Paradise!

Probably the others are also wonderful, given the excellent management (we had a dental emergency, and they even finessed that). But we've stayed at 17 twice, and give it our very highest recommendation. Very spacious, clean, comfortable; incredibly well-organized and equipped kitchen, but the view from the 3rd floor balcony is the true knockout...full ocean and stunning. Just a great place, all around. Oh, and there's a really nice pool and hot tub, too.
