the firebeather was cool and the games fun, the later seating is good for adult groups while younger crowds should try the 5:30 seating; a lot more kid participation! they dress up the whole restaurant too, it's super charming AND the food was exceptional for a buffet. kudos.

We were staying at the Marriott and thought we'd try the Caribbean Dinner on Friday night. Just an average buffet; nothing special about it. The entertainment was lame. A DJ conducted a guessing game using audio clips from old tv shows and then two fire eaters put on a 10-minute demonstration.

Our 5-1/2 year old son is in his "pirate phase," and loves anything to do with pirates. We saw this dinner party advertised in a local newspaper, and called the Marriott to make reservations. It was advertised as a pirate festival comparable to a luau in Hawaii, and the photo had a fire juggler, so we expected to see a show or some level of entertainment. We took a nice walk down Seven Mile Beach from the Westin, where we stayed, to the Marriott. It was very hot, and our son was getting tired. The Marriott part of the beach was over-crowded with people and lawn furniture and the crowd was rowdy compared with the easy-going and laid-back environment at the Westin. When we arrived at the restaurant, there were plates of sushi on the buffet table that had been left out for a long while and were not iced. We were seated and didn't see any pirates in sight. The waiter appeared in a striped shirt. I asked him, " Besides your striped shirt, what else here has a pirate theme?" He said, "That's it." So we got up and left rather than paying CI$45 each for adults and CI$27.50 for ouf son, who was so disappointed that he didn't see any pirates after being promised a "pirate party," he nearly started to cry. It was a HUGE waste of effort and time. The only redeeming quality was the nice stroll down Seven Mile Beach.
