“Pure Bliss”
Reviewed November 19, 2013

Although our trip had a bumpy start, it ended in bliss. The resort has recently underwent room renovations which were beautiful in blues, corals, and creams. If you're in an ocean front room, it's better to be as high as possible. We were on the second floor(there's only 5) and it was a little noisy at times.

The staff is outstanding to say the least. Alex at the front desk will solve any problems that may arise with ease and Davina and Arlene at the concierge desk will arrange your adventures with a smile. They are a great reference for recommendations about restaurants and the island in general.

Also, make sure to visit Wallace at the Red Parrot. He makes a perfect omelet with a delicious homemade salsa. The breakfast buffet is truly wonderful. There are lots of choices to suit anyone's tastes from fruits, pastries, and breads to eggs, french toast, and local Cayman specialties. Personally, I would pass on the buccaneer feast held on Friday nights. The food is fine, but the entertainment consists of a two person band and a very brief visit from a gentleman that performs a little bit of limbo dancing/fire eating.

As far as activities at the hotel, Red Sail is the main provider on site. We scheduled Stingray City with them and found it disappointing. We went in the afternoon and there were at least four other boats at the same location. The only stingrays we saw were ones swimming under the water. There were too many people vying for the same stingrays. I would suggest going with a smaller company off-site in the morning hours so that you would have a better chance to actually interact with the stingrays instead of just watching them fly by. Also, you can rent jet skis with Red Sail at the hotel but you are limited in how far you can go with them. We were ready to return them after about 10 minutes.

The beach is small but like walking on velvet. The hotel has chairs along the beach and pool. Additionally, the resort has various water items to lounge on. They were a perfect way to stay cool while basking in the sun.

Also, for those traveling from the United States who desire a little fast food, there is a Pizza Hut right across the street and a Wendy's just down the road. There is also a convenience store right beside the Pizza Hut for any drinks that you might want to place in the room mini-refrigerator.

One last recommendation, if you need a tour of the island or just a ride into Georgetown call Andy Native Taxi Service and ask for Melita. She picked us up from our swim with the dolphins and took us by Hell(the city) at no additional cost. She has a wealth of information about the island and its' history. You can reach her at melita@candw.ky or call (345)916-3393.

Room Tip: There are only a total of 5 floors so it's hard to avoid the noise from the pool area if you'...

This is my second stay here and the second time we have run a major event at the hotel. I run probably 4-5 events a year all over the world so have experienced both the best and the worst! I cannot fault the hotel for their professionalism and helpfulness in running the event, it made my job so much easier, every request was answered quickly and cheerfully - thank you to Donnette. The facilities are clean and modern, AV and sound was great - thank you particularly to Paul our AV guy and general conference person. Food also was first class.
If you are staying there on holiday, I can only say that this hotel has a lovely casual and welcoming feel to it. The rooms are spacious and all have a balcony, pool and beach excellent if a little crowded at times and I loved the "islands" in the sea that you could lie on.
The only negative is the cost of wireless in the room, which in this day and age, I personally think should be complimentary.
Across the street is a great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner called Coconut Joes - we ate there a couple of times, special jerk chicken for $11 a head. Great food and atmosphere.

Room Tip: Court yard view for a little extra.

A perfect boutique hotel. Great location, private, excellent sunbathing area + the beach and sea. I'm not a big fan of the sand, therefore I stay around the pool. Nevertheless you can have a view to the sea which is just couple meters away and that lovely light blue sea ... Yet again excellent service and great breakfast buffet !!! Greatest rooms with king size beds facing the sea ... What more could a heart desire? :)

Room Tip: If possible, you definitely want a sea view and a balcony ! ;)

It was my first stay here and I really enjoyed it! I typically do not stay at Marriott's in the Caribbean but I would stay here again. The service is phenomenal and the food is extremely tasty. It really feels like a 5 star resort, do not hesitate to stay here.

Room Tip: Ocean View/Ocean Front rooms make all the difference! Ask for an upgrade upon your arrival.

My friends and I chose this destination because it came highly recommended by friends that visited or currently reside there.
The purpose of the trip was to celebrate my birthday and I must say we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from the day we arrived to the day we departed!
The hotel has a wonderful staff & they were readily available to assist my friends and I with all inquiries and request that we had. A special thank you to Shaunette (reservations), Davina (concierge) RubyAnne (restaurant), Claudette (housekeeping) and the two best bellmen we've EVER encountered - Omar and Daniel!!!! We had so many questions about the area and they were very knowledgable in answering all of them. You all assisted in making our trip extra special and we cannot thank you enough!
The hotel is conveniently located to everything we needed: restaurants, clubs, beach, etc. we were in a newly renovated room on the 5th floor, which had a beautiful view of the pool area. There is a fully equipped gym on site, but after the first day we opted to go for long walks on the beautiful beach every morning.
The lobby restaurant has good food and the bartender makes the absolute best Piña colada's!
The best food we had came from a restaurant named "Welly's Cool Spot". All menu items were cooked to perfection! We had to call out the cook, who's been with them for 15 years and thank him for his mouth watering creations.
We will definitely come back for another visit, as we are now die hard fans of the Cayman Islands!

We were welcomed by a very warm and friendly staff at this Marriott. We stayed 4 nights and 5 days, and EVERY encounter with staff was professional and helpful. Our room was clean and the bed was comfy! We had a courtyard view that was pleasant and quiet. The rooms were freshly painted with new carpet.
The pool was beautiful and I loved the lounge chair towels! The hot tub was clean and the deck cleared daily. The beach is narrow and the chairs are too close together, I was thankful that the hotel was not at capacity so we weren't on top of each other. We would definitely go back to this location!

We stayed there for 6 nights, nice Ocean View room and Seven Mile Beach on the doorstep. Lots of restaurants nearby if you didn't want to eat at the hotel although their food was good. We had a meeting in one of their rooms, lovely room with view. Staff absolutely superb! Hoping to be back next year.
