We were welcomed by a very warm and friendly staff at this Marriott. We stayed 4 nights and 5 days, and EVERY encounter with staff was professional and helpful. Our room was clean and the bed was comfy! We had a courtyard view that was pleasant and quiet. The rooms were freshly painted with new carpet.
The pool was beautiful and I loved the lounge chair towels! The hot tub was clean and the deck cleared daily. The beach is narrow and the chairs are too close together, I was thankful that the hotel was not at capacity so we weren't on top of each other. We would definitely go back to this location!

We stayed there for 6 nights, nice Ocean View room and Seven Mile Beach on the doorstep. Lots of restaurants nearby if you didn't want to eat at the hotel although their food was good. We had a meeting in one of their rooms, lovely room with view. Staff absolutely superb! Hoping to be back next year.

First trip to the Caymans. Everything looks great, staff were super helpful and there was a culture of wanting to help and to answer queries which I thought was great. Front of desk could perhaps have spent a bit more time explaining the services throughout the hotel (watersports etc) and we had a recommendation for dinner that didn't work out too well. Rooms were well appointed, and large. Schizo air-con unit though - could only work in 2 modes - full-tilt or off. But did not affect comfort levels too much. Restaurants were good. Food well cooked, staff were attentive and generally pleasant experience especially eating next to the beach when it's sunny. Shop was a bit disappointing and the one bit of the hotel where the high levels of service and attentiveness were not that well matched. Bar staff were super friendly and great, but prices were on the steep side we felt. Think we paid more for beers here than at the Ritz when we popped across for a drink one night. One minus - ended the trip with a cockroach in my suitcase. Relatively harmless, but still a first for me.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the inside might get hotel music - not great if you want to avoid cheesy music and leav...

I am solo traveler and purchased a discount 4 nights stay with RT airfare package 3 months ago. I read some not so good reviews before booking but I still believe in that Marriott hotel chain often if not always lives up its reputation. My stay in this hotel proves my thought. I knew some uncomfortable things might happen during the high season when the hotel is under pressure to deal with the high volume of the guests. The weeks before and after the big holidays like Thanksgiving is good for travel. There were not many guests during my stay. So the hall where my room located is very quiet day and night, particularlly in the night, I could hear nothing except little hum from the refrigerator. The whole hotel is clean from the top to the bottom floor. The bed settings had little pleasant smell at the first night. The staff is friendly and helpful. The most I liked was wifi internet reception is very good at the lobby area though there is $15 charge per day if you want to use wifi inside the room. I didn't need to go to the lobby in order to use internet instead I could sit in the lounge at the third floor. How good was the wireless speed? I could watch the movies from Netflix without noticing any signal glitches. The private beach was not crowded and plenty chairs were available. Because the sand bar a few hundred yards away is blocking the waves, the water in front of the hotel is calm and I felt as if I swam in a endless giant swimming pool.

This was our first visit to Grand Cayman and what a pleasant surprise. Where you never know what surprises await you when you book a vacation over the Internet both good and bad...everything from the moment we stepped out of our rental car was absolutely marvelous. Omar the Bellman greeted us and he became someone we looked for every day because of his charming personality. We checked in, had everything explained to us in a clear and concise fashion by Davina. Our room request was acknowledged immediately and couldn't believe how nice the room was upon being let in by Omar. It had everything we needed from hair dryer to iron and ironing board. Neat coffee maker too. Large flat screen LCD TV with plenty of channels to choose from as well. The view of the court yard was excellent. That evening we ate at the Solana restaurant in the hotel and watched the sunset. The food and service was excellent. We were amazed to see such a quality restaurant in a hotel. The next morning we again were surprised by the breakfast buffet. The food was of the finest quality and variety and there wasn't anything that the hostess, Beverage manager Carlos or servers wouldn't do for you. Why the two hostesses knew us by name after the first day. Probably the best breakfast buffet we ever had. What was nice too was the availability of Internet in the lobby. Four computers ensured that you never had to wait. We also ate at the Balboa Grill in the lobby several times and found the food and service of the highest quality. It was so good that my wife insisted on returning instead of going out. The entire facility was immaculately clean and it was evident that all personnel were well trained and also sincere about providing quality service. When we went out to the beach, the three gals that provided towels and chaise covers were always friendly and accommodating. And then there was the two Courtney's. One bellman in the lobby and the other who tended to things on the beach like putting and umbrella in the sand for you. They were always pleasant, friendly and conversive. We must commend the cleaning staff as well for the rooms were made up nicely each day and even they were pleasant, always smiling and asking if we needed anything else. Why, we even left things out on the desk and credenza of value and they were never touched. Talk about comforting. Oops, almost forgot...the bedding was the most comfortable and clean as we've ever had or could want. Plus the bathroom had all quality Kohler fixtures and sink...now that's First Class. Because of all of this we'll be back to Grand Cayman and will stay at the Marriott again next year. We can't wait.

We had a the most amazing time. The most relaxing. From the beach, to the room, the activities. The hotel is beautiful and the people who work there even more beautiful. Always a smile to greet you and 100 % assistance. The food and bar is very expensive, but to be expected. There are many restauants with lower prices in walking distance. I highly recommend The Marriott Hotel.

Special thanks to Lee Parry, Anna, Beth, Sheila, Sebatian, Courtney L. Stephanie, Rachel and Wallace. You guys are the best.

If you walk around "The Rock" local for Grand Cayman, you'll know that it's not one of the top beach destinations of the world. So you work with what you have and this hotel is one of if not the top on 7mile beach. They include nice huge rafts secured in the water, nice chairs, always clean a great pool and reasonable prices. They cater to everyone, bands on Friday's, stuff for kids and family's. The staff was incredible. First day made housekeeping friends with Ms. Brown, asked for a simple power cord for a lamp and done. All new upgraded rooms and carpet. Coffee service with refills every morning and the nicest young lady who remembers your name so I should remember hers, it's Jenny. Doormen were great help...I'm back when I return to The Rock.
