The staff at this Marriott are very helpful and friendly. Everyone from the doorman to the waitstaff are eager to serve with a smile. Sometimes the service can be a little slow, especially at lunch on the outside patio or when waiting for drinks on the beach.

The food at the hotel is top notch (of course a little pricey, especially with the conversion rate.). We had lunch here everyday and one dinner. I enjoyed everything from the Fish Tea, coconut shrimp, and barbecue pork wrap to the all-you-can-eat lobster dinner served family style to our table of six. I especially enjoyed the pizza from the bar inside that can be carried to your room or the beach.

The beach is narrow and a little crowded, but pleasant. Staff insure you have a chair and bring umbrellas upon request. People do put their towels out early so it can be difficult to get a "front row" seat, but that didn't spoil our fun. The water is warm and generally has a sandy bottom. There can be large boulders on which you can stub a toe. The best thing about the beach is the array of fish and the quality of the snorkeling. Some fish come up to the swimming area in large schools, but it is just a short swim to the two reefs--the first being man-made and the second natural. We saw many, many species of fish. It was so nice just to throw your snorkel gear on and head out just 30 or so yards to the reef. Awesome.

The rooms, or at least ours, are okay--standard. Only a small percentage of rooms in this hotel have an ocean view. We had a view of the condos next to us, so despite having a pretty decent balcony, never used it. Those who do have a view of the ocean are right above the beach/pool/restaurant. You can get a room that opens out onto the pool (with a view of the beach) through a sliding door (there might be 5 to 10 of these). This could be nice in the evening when the pool is not busy. Overall, the rooms were adequate, comfortable and clean. The pool is very small, but looked nice. I did not use it because the beach was so convenient.

The Marriott is within walking distance or short cab ride/bus ride to quite a few restaurants and shopping areas.

Room Tip: Get a ocean view/front room. If not, an inside courtyard room would have a better view, but may be...

Although it rained two days out of our 5 day vacation, we still had a great time and it was thanks to the amazing staff at the Marriott. When we first arrived, we arrived at 12 (too early for check in). The front desk was able to put us in a room that was available and we were able to check in early which was quite nice after our flight. We ate at all of the restaurants and the food was exceptional! Marc at the Solana restaurant was amazing and made us feel as though me and my boyfriend have been visiting the hotel for years. I definitely recommend staying and eating at this hotel!

Room Tip: Ocean view rooms are worth the extra money

I really can't speak highly enough about our stay at the Marriott Seven Mile Beach. We found our room and the hotel building itself to be well laid out and maintained, and immaculately clean throughout. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with smiles and a helpful attitude from every member of the hotel staff that we met. It wasn't only the standard of service that was excellent. We ate in all of the restauarants and on every occasion had a great meal. The Lobster evening was particularly good, and a relative bargain. We found prices of both food and drink to be comparable with other places on the Island, but service was definitely better. Watching the sun go down from the Sol Bar deck whilst sipping a well made cocktail is a fabulous experience. We look forward to returning soon.

My husband and I are veteran travellers and have stayed in Marriotts all over the US, Caribbean, and Europe. We Have been coming here for many years now and we love it.It is a smaller manageable resort with everything you need for a beach vacation. The rooms are fine, could use an update which they told me they are starting in august. Has enough room, the bed was comfortable, flat screentv, and small refrigerator. The beach is narrow, but who cares with that gorgeous view and crystal clear water!!There are always chairs and umbrellas available, which you absolutely need in that strong sun. We are sun people and we do need the umbrellas for a break. We have stayed at the Westin years ago, but there are about 10 umbrellas that you are fighting for . This is a deal breaker for us. I am a platinum member and we stay on points. The hotel was totally sold out for february and march. Between the busy season{december 15 to april 15} and spring break it was crowded, but this did not impact or hinder any kind of service. They handle everything very well. If you want an upgrade, you need to book it when you book your room. You can upgrade with points or cash. You are not getting an automatic upgrade with the hotel sold out!! At the RESORTS, breakfast is not included for points guests.I guess these people never read the awards books. You do get free wi-fi. I've learned that Marriott will only gurantee your type of room if you book only through the Marriott site. Never had a problem, anywhere. We only eat breakfast and lunch at the hotel, there are too many great restaurants for dinner to go to. Our favorites are Paradise grill, Agua,Karma, Blue Cilantro, The Wharf,Grand Old House, 7,And Luca.
Will run about 150.00 a couple. Yes, everything is pricey, as it is everywhere in the caribbean! In the busy season. One more thing, the pool is tiny. WE are beach people and never stay around the pool, by 7.am most of all the chairs are gone. I want to thank Nelson and Daniel at the front door, And Leopold and Joe and Leo on the beach. Thanks everyone, and see you next year!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: Can't beat oceanfront room!!!!!!!!

There is a wonderful reef right in front on the hotel:) The rooms are small and outdated, but we barely spent any time there. There beach service is great and you feel safe to let your teenagers roam. I definitely recommend an excursion to Sting Ray City!

My husband and I have been coming here for the last 4-years and we have no intention on breaking tradition any time soon. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. We also have gotten to know a few staffers that have been there over the years. The restaurants are great, the bars are fun, the beach is beautiful and the children's activities have us almost convinced to let our daughter come with us next year. ;) Overall, we love it. We will be back!

Room Tip: Since ocean view rooms are hard to come by we have always had a courtyard view. We LOVE it. It is qu...

Thank you Marriott staff for an amazing vacation. The staff (Carlos and Marc!) was great, helpful and always excited to see our bunch of 24 with 14 kids ages 16 to 19 months. There was something for everyone. The beach is great! I was worried as some of the reviews say there is no beach, which is not true. The beach is right there by the pool and restaurant. Even our housekeeper Lorna was the sweetest person to my children and I will always remember her kindness! We had an amazing vacation and would highly recommend this to families! Thank you Marriott!!
