Looking for something different on Seven Mile Beach and following a recommendation from the concierge at the Westin we went to Thai Orchid for dinner. Food was very good. The Pad Thai was full of large prawns and the chicken satay had flavors similar to what we have had in Malaysia and Thailand.

Our only negative was the price and that is probably just the Grand Cayman way but $70 for two people for basic food (no alcohol) to me seemed high.

I'm used to to go at the Thai Orchid regularly.
It's well priced for Cayman, and the food quality is ALWAYS excellent.
The Wonton Soup is one of the best i ever had. Just try it.
If you like sweet and spicy the Green or Red Curry chicken or Vegetarian is a Must.
They have a brunch on Sundays for less then 20$ were you can try plenty of their specialties.
Last but not least : the excellent desserts...
I really recommend this place.

Drove past this restaurant several times before the craving for Thai food finally gave in. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The decor is all Thai, with an expansive menu. Not bad for the Cayman Islands.

The price is on the high side, since we're not used to paying so much for Thai. I guess that's par for the CI. Ordered phad thai, it was excellent, along with several curry dishes, all very good.

A tad bewildering to see a sushi counter in a thai restaurant (one of the 7 signs of the apocalypse?)...the Thai food is acceptable quality, but far too expensive given the simplicity of ingredients. USD$8.50 for spring rolls? USD$24 for Pad Thai noodles? or USD$30 for Basil duck? We are not eating in Bangkok's Grand Palace here...

Always fresh and delicious food, we've been year after year the service and food is always excellent . We wouldnt consider a trip to Cayman complete without a dinner at Thai Orchid.
