Visited beginning Dec 2013 and after reading reviews wanted to find somewhere special for dinner but quite disappointed with the experience.
Lovely setting, right on the beach and sat outside on the terrace, which was beautiful and peaceful.
The service was average - to be honest, it felt more like a sports bar kind of friendly service rather than a smart restaurant. The waitress kept calling us "hon" and rubbing our backs, which we felt was inappropriate for this kind of establishment (although more than happy to have a back rub in a less formal restaurant). Having worked in restaurants for years previously, I felt that there was a lot missing from the personal service and attention to detail that makes great service.
The food was good quality, but the choice limited (compared to the items on the menu in the magazine advert seen earlier). It was well presented, but again not outstanding compared to other restaurants visited on the island.
White wine was served to the table and not chilled in advance, so we had to ask for an ice bucket and some time to let it chill. Not a major issue, apart from the fact they tried to serve it right away and it took a while to persuade them to leave it to chill for us.
My overall personal experience is that this restaurant has a perfect setting but is let down by the service and price. I do not feel that I received value for money and I would not recommend a special evening to be celebrated here until they improve their attention to detail.
