“Destination for Falafel Mediterranean Pita Wrap”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2014

We return regularly to Al La Kebab for falafel Mediterranean pita wrap with everything on it. Love the Mango-Chutney sauce. Lunch, dinner, or late evening snack. Sometimes we stop on ride in from airport before we even check-in to our condo.

It’s located in the Marquee Plaza along Seven Mile Beach, a 5 mins walk from the Marriott, in a shack not much bigger than a closet. You walk up to order, and food is prepared to order in about 5 mins or so. Seating is outdoor, or take-way.

Oddity on the Island: Opens at 11 am and stays open to wee hours of the morning for local clientele working late.

There is now a competing adjoining shack, called Burger Shack, with similar hours. It seems to be an attempted knockoff of NYC’s Shake Shack.

“Chicken and Fries!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 21, 2014

The food was pretty good for fast food. I got the chicken over fries. The chicken was a bit dry but the fries was really good. There are also quite a few sauces you can choose from. I went with the jerk mayo which is great if you like spicy things. My friends got the chicken and beef kabob and they said it was really good also.

“Love - LOVE this place!!!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2014

This place is open 11am - 4am!!!! REALLY! And it i always busy! Just a little shack with a walk up and order window - but the food was delicious! There are a few tables outside around the walk up window if you choose to eat there.

“Super tasty and convenient”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2014 via mobile

I love this place, super tasty kebabs and generous serving. I never wait long to get my order. Seating is available to enjoy your food sitting down or you can take it to-go.
I'll go back again, and again!

“Horrible, spoiled food, worst customer service!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2014 via mobile

Ordered a kabob, got the sauce on the side. The meat was chewy and way over done. The sauce was bad, tasted spoiled. When we asked for a different sauce they made us pay for it because we already tried the spoiled sauce. The cashier who said he name was Tamika, wouldn't just exchange the sauce because she said we opened it. No kidding, that's how we knew it was bad. Unbelievable she didn't care. She just kept saying the $1.75 price over and over. She was so rude and I would never go back.

MrsKebab, Public Relations Manager at Al La Kebab, responded to this review, May 9, 2014
Dear Michigan48326,

Thank you ever so much for taking the time to inform us of this unbelievable display of poor customer service - the antithesis of everything we stand for!

The staff member's behavior was inexcusable.

As in every restaurant, our ultimate goal is a happy customer, not making an extra $1.75 for a side sauce. Considering we have a dozen sauces to choose from, there were so many opportunities to give you one that you love!

If you still happen to be on island please come back and allow us to make it up to you. If not, please email the management team at kebab@kebab.ky so we can apologise again!

Should this be my only opportunity to contact you, please know that we are deeply ashamed of our employee's behavior and at somewhat of a loss as to what to do with her. We have been teaching and training the right way to speak to our guests, complaint-handling 101 and you name it. This is clearly a fail on our side!

We will continue to redirect, train and instill best practices into every team member.

Should you visit us again, we will do our utmost to undo the damage from this encounter.

Sincerely,
Laura Silverman and the entire Al La Kebab Team
