Owner description: Capt. Bryan, owner and operator of Capt. Bryan’s Sail & Snorkel Tours have been in the water sports industry in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands for the past 25 years. Capt. Bryan is well known for providing excellent customer service and quality tours. His well experienced staff are friendly and knowledgeable in many aspects of the marine environment. Capt. Tours vary in the number of stops - snorkel stops include the beautiful Coral Gardens, the Barrier Reef and the Aquarium and of course, no trip would be complete without a visit to the ever-popular shallow Stingray City Sandbar. Transpiration is provided to/from the cruise ship terminals, hotels and condos along Seven Mile Beach. Additionally, Private Charters and other snorkel tours are available upon request.

Overall I enjoyed the experience and had a good time on this tour. Stingray city was cool, it is crazy how tame they are. The exception to this was the photographer. While he was under the weather the day we went, he gave off the appearance of not really wanting to be there or that he was annoyed with all of us. He never asked people to pose with the stingray's, he just barked orders at every one.

Then, on our way back, he wanted $35 for 9 pictures that he took. I understand that he is trying to make a living, and I have no problem with that, but his attitude combined with the price of the pictures was a turn off for me. He ended up offering us the pictures for $30, which we accepted, but that was more to get him to stop bothering us than for any other reason. Left a less than favorable impression of Grand Cayman in my mind.

The other two crew members were very nice, were polite, efficient, and made the trip enjoyable. I would have rated it very good or excellent had the photographer not been so rude.

Thank Derek C

A group from our recent cruise organized this for us, the were 24 of us in total (the boat holds close to 40) we had plenty of room to move around and take photos. After a short bus ride we first went to see the stingrays, one of our guides got straight into the water and brought one over to our group, he was very aware of who was in our group and made sure we all got plenty of time with the stingray. Other groups kept trying to come over as there guides just stayed on the boat and left them to their own devices, but he would send them away. We were there about 50-60 minutes.

We then moved on a little way to a reef and if you wanted you could get off the boat to snorkel, my husband and son did this, snorkel equipment is provided for you to use and it has all been sterilized ready for use.

We met the tour guides at 9am and were back at port by 1pm, the cost for us was $36 each but this will vary depending how many are in you group.

Water and fruit punch was available and you are allowed to take you own drinks/snacks on board.

You will love this tour, the price and the memories.

We were met right in the pier area along with the other tours. The only difference is we paid half of what the cruise booking people paid.

We ( about 20 people) were driven about 15 minutes to a beautiful catamaran. We boarded, and began our journey to see the Sting Rays. On board there was water, and juice to drink.

The trip out to the Stingrays took about 50 minutes. Great to just sit back and soak up the sun.

The crew was very friendly and answered any questionss people had. Upon arriving at the stingrays we were issued masks, snorkels, and fins. One of the crew rounds up a giant sting ray and gives a lesson about it.

Then he holds it out and the pictures begin. They take about 6 pictures per couple and you hold the stingray, kiss the stingray, feed the stingray. There are other stingrays swimming near you so you can go play.

The pictures cost $40 for six on a cd but this is a once in a lifetime thing to do so we got them. Since it was our honeymoon they put another 80 pictures of fish, stingrays, and Grand Cayman.

It looked like I took the greatest photos ever.

The next two stops are for snorkeling. I saw a lot of fish and coral. You get about 30 minutes at each location.

The cruise back is very relaxing after rinsing off with some fresh water.

All in all a great way to spend the morning. No problems just fun, and the price is right.

My husband and I booked this for our cruise last week. It was one of our favorite excursions. We booked through Island Marketing and the price was much better than through the cruise ship. The stingrays were fun and the snorkeling sites they take you to are gorgeous! It was a great day.

Who: Grand parents and Daughter's family of husband, 8 year old boy and 3 year old twins.
Comment: Excellent experience with friendly crew and not too many other punters. 3 separate snorkelling experiences including playing with sting ray which were happy to be handled, fed, etc. We paid $35 for set of 10 photos which was good value, we think. Although the experience may seem expensive, to some, we thought it good value. No food so take a snack but snorkelling gear was all included.
