Restaurant details
Dining options: Lunch, Breakfast
Description: Modern. Responsible. Delicious. Bread and Chocolate is the first full-service vegan restaurant in the Cayman Islands providing healthy all-day breakfast and lunch alternatives for health-conscious and eco-conscious diners. All breads, desserts, sauces etc. Are made in house. Organic and local produce featured where and whenever possible. Located in the centre of the financial district of George Town. Parking is very limited so plan for a short walk from your car if you drive any day other than Saturday (loads of street parking available on weekends). Bus terminal is next door so it is strongly encouraged to take one of the municipal "buses" which are, for the most part, mini-vans with stickers on them - the EE (East End) bus is more of the typical style bus. Taking the bus is greatly encouraged since it's better for the environment, way cheaper than a cab and is a unique experience on it's own. Some pay parking available at the Town Centre Plaza on Albert Panton Street and behind Bayshore Mall. Table service and take out available. Open Monday through Friday from 8 a.M. To 4 p.M., Saturdays, Sundays and most public holidays from 9 a.M. To 2 p.M.

Food is all vegan, and extremely tasty. Service is quick, efficient and super-friendly. Tried the 'Tuna' and the Beet Burger, both very nice.

Parking can be a problem in the area, but if walking around George Town, you have to try this out.

At first glance, food may appear to be on the pricey side, but when you consider the quality/service and the fact that all packaging is eco-friendly and biodegradable - it doesn't seem pricey at all!

We ate at Bread and Chocolate on a bank holiday and did not have to hassle with parking. The cafe is very cute, cozy and modern. The owner was our server and she was very attentive and obviously very knowledgeable of the menu, the restaurant and it's mission. I ordered the breakfast tacos. So yummy! The garlic sour cream was to die for! They brought some hot pepper sauce to the table which went so nicely with the tacos. We also had chocolate chip cookies and a brownie. Being vegan it's nice to have somewhere to go where you simply do not have to worry about if your dish will be "tainted" in any way. Will definitely be making Bread and Chocolate a regular lunch spot!

I had no idea this was a vegan restaurant, I just liked the name and thought it looked like a cool little spot for a bite to eat or coffee! I went here with some co-workers for our lunch and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. “Tuna” sandwich was great, loved the BLT, and great service too!

I have a fondness for vegetarian and Vegan. After the one vegan place
(Roots Delight) that grand cayman had, closed a few months ago, i thought there were no other options. But this is an awesome place. I found it from tripadvisor and called in for my take away. i had the beet burger with cashew cheese and the rosemary-sweet potato soup. Loved them both. The food was packed well, i was late in picking it up, so they called me to say that it was waiting for me. so by the time i ate it, it was late and cold, but still the flavor and taste was a delight.
the ambience, the restaurant were all quite impressive. Since it is right in the middle of downtown grand cayman, parking may be an issue, but great place and great food.
Am definitely going back.
